New York based French photographer Marion takes her American interior designer boyfriend Jack for a 48 hours stay in Paris. Jack has a theory that the world is a global village and expects to meet someone he knows within a few blocks wherever they go, but it's his partner Marion who runs into former lovers at every turn.
What sounds like a good premise for a comedy, though, drags on until the strain on their relationship finally forces Jack to leave Marion and head into Paris alone. Suddenly things start to move, but it's a long wait before they do.
