Gilbert and George taking their daily walk to their favourite restaurant, Tracey Emin getting uppity about the dirt on her doorstep…Well, for one day only, on 08 July, the great and the good of the British art world were invited to step away from the commercial stranglehold that galleries seem to have on so much of their creativity, and rub shoulders in cheap and dirty fashion with the Great British Public by hosting their own stalls at The Art Car Boot Fair in Brick Lane, E1. With people like Peter Blake and Gavin Turk promising to set up stall, we sent Nicola Dracoulis along with a camera, and a leg waiting to be signed…
