Six albums in, Spoon have become part of the wallpaper of US indie rock, chugging away in the background on countless TV shows and movies. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (named after the melody line of one of its songs) sees Britt Daniels channelling his persecution complex into more piano-driven 60s pop songs, screaming "Don't make me a target!" at the heavens as his girlfriend walks out. His band prove surprisingly versatile, however, going funk on Don't You Evah and breaking out some Motown horns on the glorious Underdog.Spoon – Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, released 09 July 07 on Anti.
