If someone had told me last year that I would be seeing the Gods that are The Libertines live in the flesh I would have just laughed and said, "I wish." So you can imagine my surprise, and sheer joy, when I actually got tickets for this tour. I consider myself one very priveliged young woman. They rocked the Academy left right and centre. It was just like watching a jamming session between friends - cool, casual and effortlessly stylish. Awe-inspiring, they were. Peter was born to play guitar. And they all seem to be very adept at playing instruments, singing, smoking and drinking simultaneoulsy. Hurrah. The best songs of the night had to be the classics: "Time for Heroes", "I Get Along" and "Up the Bracket." The atmosphere was on fire. It was a night of worship. Bring on the festivals.
