Herbert’s diva goes solo. If you're familiar with the music of Matthew Herbert (and damn it you should be) then you’ll most likely have swooned to Dani Siciliano's beautiful jazz-laden vocals. This, her first solo album, follows a similar path of minimal electro-jazz set to chipped dance rhythms. But here Dani is brought to the fore and allowed to play. There's an almost punky edge to Walk The Line and she gives a beautifully inventive rendition of Nirvana's Come As You Are. But it's tough to make music this kooky and still hit home, and without Mr Herbert at the helm she doesn't quite manage it.
