 A smoking compilation. This is one of those laidback, funk-ridden hip-hop mixes that’ll sit happily in the CD player for weeks. Less hard-edged and experimental than Vadim’s artist album, it still shows off his flare for deep, jazzy loops and off-beat rhymes, whilst weaving in more eclectic flavours from Gotan Project, 4hero, Mr Scruff and Photek. The turntablism doesn’t compete with Kid Koala, but the flow is never broken and the track selection does all the talking. Very cool indeed.
