dits from the commuter belt
(marquis cha cha)
The fast and the furious.

Formed in Sheffield and fond of a near-the-knuckle narrative, Bromheads Jacket are already bedevilled by Arctic Monkeys associations, which is a shade unfortunate as, (a) they’ve been ploughing this particular furrow for some time, and, (b) actually sound like Russell Brand fronting the Buzzcocks. Enjoyment of their debut very much depends upon your appreciation for Tim Hampton’s vocal style, as he warbles airily about porn stashes, moist poppadoms and life’s little furies, in high-spirited three-minute bursts. The riffs are pretty furious too.
