Ask Squarepusher!

From his lunatic debut, Feed Me Weird Things, to the forthcoming Hello Everything, Squarepusher has thrillingly plundered drum ‘n’ bass, jazz and contemporary classical with the now familiar display of virtuoso bass-playing thrown in for good measure. His latest album has been hailed as his most accessible and melodic. Or, as Tom Jenkinson himself puts it, “It’s full of tunes. It’s what you do after you’ve gone to the brink - have a laugh.”

But what makes him tick? Have you ever wondered what the lyric to My Red Hot Car actually is? Or why he chose to cover Love Will Tear Us Apart? Or who the Cronecker King is? Well, here’s your chance to find out.

NOTE: Questions for Squarepusher have now closed. Squarepusher’s answers will be published on Collective on Thursday 19 October.
