![]() terkel in trouble
Young Terks. Like an episode of Grange Hill that’s been scribbled over, defaced and chewed up and spat out by the makers of South Park, Terkel in Trouble manages to feel both tame and provocative at the same time. The animation is hardly going to give Pixar or Disney the fear and the plot is pretty straightforward. Terkel (voiced by Adrian Edmondson at his whiney, pubescent best) is being bullied at school and receiving all sorts of mysterious death threats. But add a liberal dollop of violence, filthy language, silly songs and quirky characterisation, and this inventive Danish feature winds up as an un-PC, riotous delight quaking with malevolent glee. Definitely not one for tiny tots. Terkel In Trouble, out now on national release.
