Members only. Seven directors from the world of visual art and cinema – performance artist Marina Abramovic, fabulist Matthew Barney, American time manipulator Marco Brambilla, teen-watcher Larry Clark, French provocateur Gasper Noe[acute accent], iconographer Richard Prince and Britart star Sam Taylor-Wood – were set the task of expressing sex through art. Intriguingly, three of the directors, Barney, Noe[acute accent] and Taylor-Wood, take masturbation as their subject. Barney’s offering is particularly fascinating, as it starts off with an obscure image that slowly emerges as the artist’s own member. Other works in the collection also eschew porn conventions. Larry Clark has made a hilarious and incisive documentary on the ambitions of a first-time porn actor. Abramovic’s film, Balkan Erotic Epic, is exactly what it says it is, a voyage through the sexual folk tales of the Balkans, while Brambilla offers a brief, bullet-paced montage of money shots. Only Richard Prince’s essay in this eclectic and fascinating collection actually resembles a porn film in the traditional sense. Destricted, on selected release 15 September 06

There are really only three things worth seeing in this film:a) Larry Clark's hilarious and disturbing porno-tryout documentary. b) Marina Abramovic's wonky-grammared Balkan Erotic Epic (think High Culture Borat...ok, maybe a bit better than that). c) The drumroll fuckfest of editing that Brambilla conjurs up in two minutes. (Though, whoever wrote the original review on the site, clearly doesn't understand what the term 'money shot' means. I would suggest googling this. It would be more accurate to say: a montage of porno-tropes methinks.)

Sorry to disagree with any so called critics I am just an ordinary person but I found this film a complete waste of money, nothing in it was entertaining, I am not a person that gets shocked by any content in a film and was expecting something a bit more raunchier than this. The description of the film was way off .

A compilation of erotic films intended to illuminate the points where art meets sexuality.
