Estuary English – Music From Memphis Industries Volume One (Memphis Industries)
Estuary English is a collection of songs past, present and future from the Memphis Industries record label. It’s the brainchild of Ollie and Matt Jacob, and home to artists such as The Go! Team, Fort Lauderdale and (most well known) Blue States. It celebrates their 25th release plus a few corkers they’ve had (and will have, judging by the 17 excellent tracks included here) which feature rare grooves, melodic catchiness and a dash of funk. A good taste of what the label has to offer and an interesting album in its own right. Matt Walton 20 February 02
