Dave Tyack Ė Rip Van Winkle (Twisted Nerve)
Dave Tyack, Twisted Nerve solo artist and member of Misty Dixon is currently missing. Last summer he went on Holiday to Corsica and never returned. He had just put the finishing touches to an album inspired by an American short story by Washington Irving, Rip Van Winkle. The first nine tracks are all instrumental noodlings, sounding like incidental music for Witness but composed by Damon Gough. The final track sees Dave collaborating with Malcolm Mooney, vocalist with Krautrockers Can. He hadnít recorded since 1971 until he turned up at Twisted Nerve. Mooney reads the story over Daveís instrumentation and itís all rather pleasant. Matt Walton 06 February 02
