Midnight Club Street Racing 2
by: VJ Tinny  Tuesday 06 May 2003
Absolutely Astounding! Imagine the Multi-player playability of Midnight Street Racer 1 with the blistering speed of Burnout 2 and the quality graphics of Gran Tourismo 3, and you値l have a fair idea of what this game is to behold!

The award winning team behind GTA-Vice City have released a virtual illegal street racing game that is totally free roaming in three gigantic citys... you can catch air off the Louvre in Paris, knock over homies in Hollywood and burnout Skylines in Tokyo to name but a few of the possiblities...

For those of you out there worried about any repitition from the first game, fear not! There are new skills to master on both 4 and 2 wheels, not dissimlar to learning fight moves on Tekken (but with cars). I知 not even going to mention the battle modes in multi-player from Checkpoints to Flag-Tag with the added intensity of weapons. (Oops... )

Seriously though, the maps are well thought out and involve all aspects of the cities, from the roof tops down to underground ducts with secret passages galore. The handling of the cars takes a bit of mastering but after a few hours of racing (and listening closely to the hints) you値l be racing like a pro and impressing your friends with your Jedi-like reflexes.
If you don稚 have any friends and want to show off your skills then you値l be very interested in knowing that when Playstation Online arrives you値l be able to whoop players from all over the world!

In short, this is a must have game for those of you needing fun multiplayer, speed and driving while waiting for Gran Tourismo 4. Or even if you aren稚!

I知 completely addicted. winkeye
