xXx
You can just imagine the pitch: “he's a bad boy adrenaline junky who's made into a super spy”. Shit. Vin Diesel was becoming a half-decent character actor before they made him into the bastard child of Bruce Willis and James Bond, with a healthy dose of attitude for the MTV generation thrown in. xXx is a nauseatingly explosive mess of popular culture and stolen, hackneyed action movie plots that the big lad tries to carry on those massive shoulders of his. Not even Samuel L Jackson can help this time. And the best thing? There are two sequels to come. Sweet Christ, no. Mark Wyatt 17 October 02
