I write in sadness that the BBC considers football more important than world news, the convenience of thse people who settled to watch the 10.00 news this pm (10th October) and were told to wait an hour. I do not call that either courteous or balanced. We do not all find football attractive, and we certainly do not care for the priority given it by the BBC over an important scheduled programme. There wasn't much advertising the 2016 debate, but the museum can hardly be in a nicer area. I hope Rio get it. It's time for a South American Games and the atmosphere would be electric. They'll also learn from their mistakes at the 2014 World Cup and should be very ready for it. Very large book. Bit dull. Lots of long words. Also Ranji was the 2nd best batsman in the world 30 years before CK Nayadu did his stuff. Nobody needed to prove that Indians were equal to white people. Pure PC bigot nonsense. I didn't realise sarcasm was against the house rules. This is because the house rules don't mention it. I'll try again:Sooo...Mihir's remarkable insight is that, at an IOC meeting to present the four bids, members of each bid team explained why their bid should be successful.I had absolutely no idea that such things took place at bid meetings. Who could have known that without our intrepid correspondent working 'the inside track'?This is investigative journalism of the highest order.Good grief. Generally Latin America refers to Mexico, central America, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Venezuela. Though Venezuela and Colombia are in South America.
