Asher Roth's Boom Boom Pow is still one of the best Live Lounges ever.Interestingly, Fearne is doing a search atm to find the best. Currently through, from what I remember -Katie Perry - Electric FeelJoJo - Times like theseJamelia - NumbParamore - Use SomebodyPalamore Faith - Sexy Minx/ChickArtic Monkeys - Love MachineIts a strong list! Think I missed a few off. Still on-going. Leona Lewis - Run is probably going to stomp it though isnt it? Thu 15 Oct 2009 23:56:20 GMT+1 spirit Well , I tried to flag up your amazing prophecy coming true in spectacular fashion. The fact that I remembered it many months later , is hopefully proof that I read it . lol Thu 15 Oct 2009 17:47:19 GMT+1 Fraser McAlpine - But...but...this is all so sudden...people are being *sniiff* so NICE and I was *eyedrizzle* expecting the WORST and...*BIG LONG NOSEBLOW*OK...OK...I'm fine now. What were you all saying? Thu 15 Oct 2009 16:40:28 GMT+1 spirit Sorry about the layout , I am miles from home using a mobile phone . . Thu 15 Oct 2009 16:23:44 GMT+1 spirit Fraser do you receive so few compliments that you cannot spot when someone pays you a solid gold one . Your review accurately predicted something in life that happened three months later in front of 15 million viewers ! I find this absolutely uncanny ! Your words came to life last week . Of course I read your review , why would I remember it with such amazement 3 months later ? If you read my words again , you will see that I have noticed that your prophecy and film script has been vividly filmed on x factor ! I am , in fact let down by your interpretation. My words are trying to acknowledge your uncanny predicting skills . I am trying to make YOU look clever ! Thu 15 Oct 2009 16:18:10 GMT+1 BloggingLiam I heard their version of it. It was worse than the original. I still dont really like this song. Though its graduated to being listenable on nights out / before nights out / at parties. Not for general consumption however. Thu 15 Oct 2009 14:06:43 GMT+1 Fraser McAlpine - By which I's not really a critique of Simon Cowell's ability to understand the appeal of the Black Eyed Peas.I still think it'd make a decent film though. Thu 15 Oct 2009 11:48:19 GMT+1 Fraser McAlpine - My dear Spirit, if you're going to deliberately mis-interpret the reviews to make yourself look clever, please try and read them first. Thu 15 Oct 2009 11:43:54 GMT+1 spirit Comment 3" I'm not sure where they can go after releasing this single , the rest of the album is utter pap ! "Er ... does your version of The END not have Meet Me Halfway , the new single on it .Another fantastic single , at least 4 stars , with a superb chorus sang by Fergie !Really good song , that is a big hit already on TV and at radio , and soon to be in the charts. Thu 15 Oct 2009 11:37:58 GMT+1 spirit Regarding the review , it's interesting that Simon Cowell arranged for all the 12 X- Factor finalists to sing this song at the beginning of Sunday's show. The great man certainly DOES understand the reaching power and appeal of this song ! Thu 15 Oct 2009 11:32:38 GMT+1 BloggingLiam Im yet to realise its an amazing pop song. I too, of course, knew itd be a success on hearing it .. but doesnt make it an amazing pot song. Its not. Just a crowd pleaser. A mish mash of things that work to make a song. Argh!!! Mon 31 Aug 2009 23:24:18 GMT+1 RandomEnigma Haha, I knew this was a great song since the moment I heard it 4 months ago. I just found it on the ChartBlog last night so said I MUST comment on it!!! Mon 31 Aug 2009 19:29:42 GMT+1 spirit Love it ! Midnight , on the last day of August and Randy finally realises that this is a great pop song .What next ?The Beatles might have a little chart success ?District 9 might be number 1 soon in the uk BOX OFFICE ?Shakira's She Wolf might be a top ten hit ?The funny thing is , the first time I heard I GOTTA FEELIN , and realised it would be massive about 3-4 months ago , was on UNREALITY SHOUT !(The website that you have a lot of good input on ! )lol Mon 31 Aug 2009 08:53:56 GMT+1 RandomEnigma The lyrics to this song are laughably bad...but this IS the most amazing pop song ever made!!! The song always makes me feel so joyful and unlike most dance/hip hop songs out now, there not singing about shawties getting low or their expensive cars or their millions of dollars and all their bling...they're just singing about having a good night! Something that we can all relate too!Oh and Josh Duhamel better watch out cos I'm kidnapping Fergie and making her my wife!Lol! Sun 30 Aug 2009 23:00:14 GMT+1 BloggingLiam Sigh. For anybody that wants a laugh listen to firstly The Black Eyes Peas doing Boom Boom Pow in the live lounge. Then listen to Asher Roth's version. Its very clever and funny. Sun 16 Aug 2009 22:42:47 GMT+1 spirit Number 1 again ! Sun 16 Aug 2009 17:48:44 GMT+1 spirit I will tell you how great this song is ... it's such a good pop song that it will not go away from the charts for a while ... it has captivated the download generation , and will still dominate the charts for a good while yet . Tue 11 Aug 2009 13:15:47 GMT+1 EminemFanOfBeautiful Love ur boom boom pow and i gotta feelin vids 5 Star Songs 5stars Sun 09 Aug 2009 16:48:38 GMT+1 BloggingLiam They looked good fun live to be fair to them. Tue 04 Aug 2009 10:20:02 GMT+1 CurtainJerker WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????!!I'm sorry, did you say this mob are supporting U2, or N-Dubz? Mon 03 Aug 2009 15:01:31 GMT+1 spirit There you go..The Black Eyed Peas are number 1 !Shortly to be supporting U2 on their U.S tour .Good luck ! Sun 02 Aug 2009 18:50:22 GMT+1 a24141 I think its monotonous twoddle! Loving the B.B.P tho. It got to 1 in u.s tho, i hope Jay can get above them tho, down is such a good track Sat 01 Aug 2009 17:46:19 GMT+1 Daniel I understand why people think this is an awful song. The video proves as much. The lyrics are awful I have to admit. But it's a fantastic tune!!! Fri 31 Jul 2009 18:51:42 GMT+1 spirit Well , The Black Eyed Peas are breaking all sorts of chart records in America.Boom Boom Pow spent 12 weeks at number one !I Gotta Feelin has now spent 5 weeks at number one !These two singles are also enjoying mammoth success around the world , they are two moments of pop brilliance . Fri 31 Jul 2009 17:55:11 GMT+1 thranjax Reminds me of Dougal: "Vowel.. Consonant ... Consonant ... put your clothes on Carol, I can't concentrate..." Fri 31 Jul 2009 13:14:31 GMT+1 BloggingLiam Oh and we get it Fergie, you look great. Now put some clothes on. Fri 31 Jul 2009 12:08:56 GMT+1 BloggingLiam Hang on, is it just me that thinks this is poop?Ok so its catchy. Much like their last sing its very repetative and not exactly going to win any awards for originality of lyrics. The corus reminds me of another song that I cant think of, because this one is so firmly rammed into my brain after only 2 listens. Ugh Im not gonna pick all the lyrics apart, but give em a good listen and Id love to know how long it took them to write.I mean come on? This does not warrent being the massive pop smash its going to be. Fri 31 Jul 2009 12:07:19 GMT+1 Daniel Haha, That's brilliant, thranjax.Cracked is one of my favourite sites! Thu 30 Jul 2009 10:32:58 GMT+1 thranjax Having said that, and in the interests of balance, here is an opposing view, which is very funny whatever you think of the song: Wed 29 Jul 2009 13:28:04 GMT+1 thranjax I think this is a terrific pop single, what better for a night-starting-song than a song stating that it is in fact going to be a good night?Great beat, great lyrics (simple, direct, not stupid), more hooks than a Sarlacc's mouth. Now, if we could just get rid of the vocoder or whatever it's called... Tue 28 Jul 2009 16:56:16 GMT+1 spirit Ha ha ! Great stuff .I think I said on the JLS posts that the next number one after them , would be Black , Hudson , Calvin or Dizzee .Poor old Mr H , got pretty close , now it's the turn of The Black Eyed Peas as I gotta feelin gets a physical release. It's a popular song , it's being played on most t.v and radio stations , and I reckon it could topple the Beat Again boys. Will this be the second NUMBER ONE in a row for The Black Eyed Peas ? Tue 28 Jul 2009 16:19:54 GMT+1 Daniel Yeah! I'm glad someone agrees with me, amazingJon! Tue 28 Jul 2009 15:51:22 GMT+1 spirit Totally agree Danny .. in pop music terms , this is one helluva 5 star song !A mammoth pop single.Great melody , rhythm , fun lyrics and a video that makes u wanna dance whilst watching it !This song is already number 3 on downloads alone !It is a song that has the quality of having appeal to a lot of people.I am sure it will be a big hit all around the world !It's a dancefllor monster , and as soon as it comes on in a club , the vast majority get mad for it.It is catchy and so full of hooks you could go fishing for days.A superb pop single . 5 stars .A masterclass . Tue 28 Jul 2009 15:13:50 GMT+1 amazingJon75 I'm not sure where they can go after releasing this single - the rest of the album is utter pap!I'm hoping they'll release Ring-A-Ling simply for comedy value. Tue 28 Jul 2009 15:09:24 GMT+1 Daniel Nice, erm, 'review' there, Fraser. You gots a hell ova 'magination on ya! (That's my New York accent should you need a New York actor)I bought The E.N.D on iTunes and took it to the gym with me. I remember feeling very disappointed when I got home. I had just spent £7.99 of my hard earned cash on an awful, awful album. All I had known of The E.N.D before I downloaded it was Boom Boom Pow, which remains fantastic. It was the first song I listened to, and lead me to an incredible anti-climax. The album seems to implode in on itself, song after song, same after same. I then discussed the album with a friend who convinced me I had to listen again to I Gotta Feelin' - Reluctant at first, I listened and loved it. Then I saw the video and I loved it even more (I wish all my nights out were like that!!)In my opinion, this is a 5 star song.Alls I'm left wondering now is, what will their next release be? I have a feeling it'll be Ring A Ling, but I hope to god it's not. Mon 27 Jul 2009 15:53:15 GMT+1 CurtainJerker Uh oh.Someone's not going to be happy with this... Mon 27 Jul 2009 15:50:02 GMT+1
