Anyway, thanks BBC for bringing back the Special One. Thu 25 Nov 2010 12:00:11 GMT+1 Dave the hedgehog- Doitchampions Jose - I have a couple of footy anagrams to tell you (get Wayne to explain "Anagram" to bulb-head via "Wayne's Word")Anagram 1 is ALEX FERGUSON = Sex Organ fuel ! Anagram 2 is Match of the day = they of mad chat !Anagram 3 is Paul Merson = lump on arse !I kneel daily & prey before your special scarf....Best wishesDave the hedgehog Tue 23 Nov 2010 13:25:31 GMT+1 Ross Quinn I think if we sneak up behind Why Did You N'Gog Rafa ad shout Robbo I'm sure we'd find out why he's so obsessed with him.The Boy Rooney is no way smart enough to have understood the in joke about Audley. Funny though. I think even Colleen would have knocked him out in 3.I don't understand why Sven didn't just give them all scarves or paper with facts written on to disguise them. Mon 22 Nov 2010 02:00:15 GMT+1 shutupnumptys Glad to see more people coming to the defence of the Special 1 but can't understand why those who want Robbo back or don't like the special 1 still watch it and then complain.I didn't find Robbo funny so I didn't read it - not difficultS1 TV is brilliant - congrats to BBC for bringing it back.BTW there are loads of back episodes on you-tube so you detractors can annoy yourselves for hours!!! Sat 20 Nov 2010 11:45:34 GMT+1 Chilli Puzzle Load of rubbish, bring back Robbo! Sat 20 Nov 2010 11:26:56 GMT+1 smellslikesalmon My Christmas crackers are funnier. Sat 20 Nov 2010 01:14:17 GMT+1 SportsFan This is excellent! Its good having comedy in footballIt's getting better and better! Sat 20 Nov 2010 00:54:28 GMT+1 mufcAndy1994 Mick McCarthy - "some ****hole like leicester" lol Sven - "can we edit that out Tony?"genius. great comedy Fri 19 Nov 2010 23:01:11 GMT+1 mufcAndy1994 LOL @ 37 Fri 19 Nov 2010 22:53:34 GMT+1 ArmchairGenius Humour: lame.Satire: predictable.Impressions: weak.Apart from that, great. Fri 19 Nov 2010 22:16:39 GMT+1 Pedro Franco ^_^ Fri 19 Nov 2010 22:11:37 GMT+1 todreh Special 1 TV is a caricature show, not a show of impressions. It's been running in various guises for about three years, and the characters have evolved somewhat. I think you get more out of it as a long-time viewer. Why not check out the doitchampions channel on YouTube, where every instalment has been collected. I don't think I'd get it either on the strength of one ep. Fri 19 Nov 2010 21:09:08 GMT+1 adlaistew This is a comic relief dream. After a hard day at work, items that relax does not get better than this. I cannot wait for the next episode Fri 19 Nov 2010 21:02:40 GMT+1 McFerrari Whatever happened to great impressionists like Alistair Macgowen? Fri 19 Nov 2010 20:47:36 GMT+1 CONMEBalls Absolute quality. Fri 19 Nov 2010 20:10:34 GMT+1 tommo15234 Bravo. A Triumph!! Fri 19 Nov 2010 19:21:59 GMT+1 tomtom094 While I still think Robbo was funnier (and for those of you unaware, he is still writing independently - just search "robbo robson blogspot" in google) this is good stuff and I'm glad I watch it weekly. Keep it up. Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:50:47 GMT+1 Dave the hedgehog- Doitchampions are mad33...your just sad.I cannot believe some of the stuff that gets written.Just cos it's got puppets "it should be on cbbc"Once again COMEDY IS SUBJECTIVE -YOU EITHER DO OR DON'T LIKE IT.But can we get over all this weekly commenting that is just becoming overly boring.Comment 30 - as a non fan you put your case across very well & it was constructive too (if only a few more people had your level of intellect & understanding).I don't agree with the Noels house party comment though ! Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:29:46 GMT+1 Holloway2Holland * Sorry post 31, I meant post 32. Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:24:06 GMT+1 Holloway2Holland What's post 31 about?Has this become a dating site for those who don't know the difference between ? and ' ?---Good episode, better then last week. Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:22:35 GMT+1 mufcAndy1994 great episode, Great show. Love it. Be Champions!! Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:18:14 GMT+1 mufcAndy1994 @ Iain Wightman - its on weekly on friday's from now on.... :) Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:15:51 GMT+1 rikki496 Simply superb television- if you can't see the humour and skill in this, you should be watching Dancing with the X Factor or whatever you can find on UK Gold - as good as S1TV has ever has been. Fri 19 Nov 2010 18:13:31 GMT+1 Riggadon If they are not going to get rid of this pointless drivel, the best thing they could do is at least put it in a part of the website where it will be among other things of its ilk.Like CBBC. They have a lot of puppet based shows too. Fri 19 Nov 2010 17:56:06 GMT+1 White Liquid and a Mountain of Sugar Hmm..where to start eh? I guess by saying that above all the girl I?m looking for has to have a good sense of humour and like to laugh and smile. I?m told I?m quite witty and I suppose I?m quite an intelligent guy who likes to keep up on the topical events.I?m into sport, both watching and playing. I played hockey for over 10 years but stopped a few years ago because I got lazy at University! I want to get back playing soon. I also play tennis in the summer and go to the gym quite regularly. I?m into so much different music! My iTunes ranges from RnB through to rock, metal and even classical. It definitely depends what mood I?m in!I?m doing Admin work at the moment but I have an Accounting degree so would really love to get involved in that side of things. Hopefully soon! The people at work are great though and we have a laugh! At weekends I like to unwind by going out for a few drinks, usually to a bar, pub or club. I love going to London!I?d love to travel more in the future with Australia, New Zealand and China definitely in my plans! Hopefully you?d like to travel as well.Well that?s me atm. Can?t think of anything else to bore you with :D. If you like what you see/read then get in touch!----------------------------------------You must be a fun guy to be around... Fri 19 Nov 2010 17:22:57 GMT+1 mikerophone I love it. Been following this since it was Setanta Sports News and gets better every time. Keep it going! Fri 19 Nov 2010 16:57:19 GMT+1 monkeyphoenix Agree with 26, it's not 'not getting it', I completely get it but just don't find it funny! Post 16, it really is nothing close to Spitting Image, you're making the defence worse by comparing the two - the comedy here really is sub-standard comparitively. Yes, puppet satire, but nowhere near as good. Also, why has this become a debate of special1 vs Robbo? They're both unimaginative and poor in my opinion (though Review of the week shouldn't have been dropped if it was a straight swap for this). But anyway, isn't that the point with comedy - some people like some stuff and some people like other stuff? Although I'm not a fan of this, there are far too many people that log on to comment negatively about it - if you don't like it, don't watch it! I won't be in future. Fri 19 Nov 2010 16:47:10 GMT+1 Thruthickthruthin This was actually really funny imo. The interviews where the best bit, especially with Mick McCarthy and Mancini. Lots of people hate this but I love it, keep it up :))) Fri 19 Nov 2010 16:46:28 GMT+1 wehateowls you know what i understand why BBC still allowed the comments as all that comment are stupid people who would understand comedy if it slapped them in the face.from now on i will just be watching the programme and not reading the blog as it just stupid people as for robbo back even though you read on a different website Fri 19 Nov 2010 16:16:07 GMT+1 Principal Skinner This post has been Removed Fri 19 Nov 2010 16:12:32 GMT+1 Vox Populi It's not a question of 'not getting it'It's a good idea done badly. There was more cutting satire and better gags on 'Noel's House Party' Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:56:46 GMT+1 datsacracker Good Stuff, the show on Setanta was hilarious, not really reached those heights yet but keep it up. Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:52:30 GMT+1 Iain Wightman I've held back from posting for a few weeks now but have to say that some people need to see this for what it is. It's tongue in cheek humour poking fun at English football. Maybe some people shouldn't take life so seriously and just laugh at the funny side.Very entertaining and a shame it's only every two weeks. Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:42:42 GMT+1 Benzz19 lol why did you ngog rafa, guess your the only one who loves boring robbo now eh, bet you come on here all weekend to check comments written about the show, bet you cant wait till this comes out every week so you can comment about good ol robbo lol Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:34:08 GMT+1 ralphy33 shut up sven Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:28:50 GMT+1 what a shot This post has been Removed Fri 19 Nov 2010 15:08:23 GMT+1 Why Did You Ngog Rafa What absolute dross.....Not just any dross, but the Luther Van kind!! Fri 19 Nov 2010 14:59:06 GMT+1 santista02 Just love it! Fabulous stuff............... keep it coming Fri 19 Nov 2010 14:36:48 GMT+1 James_Toneys_gut Flippin brillant, so much better than wobbo, and his pathetic commentry and big 4 events, then ignorant views on any other club bar boro Fri 19 Nov 2010 14:00:57 GMT+1 Why Did You Ngog Rafa Bring back Robbo?Yes please.... Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:56:34 GMT+1 Lorrie Lorimer You either get the humour or you don't. Spitting Image next generation. Spot on. Love it. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:56:29 GMT+1 Why Did You Ngog Rafa Douche. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:55:34 GMT+1 freddawlanen Ah, number 6 has returned just as I was typing my last post, maybe common sense prevailed, but I doubt it. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:50:57 GMT+1 Why Did You Ngog Rafa Sorry the thirteenth.....damn............ Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:50:32 GMT+1 Why Did You Ngog Rafa Wow, this is the eleventh comment. Surely a record............ Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:50:12 GMT+1 freddawlanen Why was post number removed, all he did was quote from the video?Certain members of the moderation team need to be sacked as they totally inept and don't know what their job actually entails, or are simply too stupid to do it properly. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:48:16 GMT+1 nickh Comedy's such a subjective thing - I personally think The Special 1 is a bit hit and miss, but no more or less so than Robbo (I'm from the North-East don't you know?!) Robson. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:44:35 GMT+1 RubberNutz This post has been Removed Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:44:23 GMT+1 Jimmy McNulty- The voice of reason 'Bring back Robbo'- No thanks, that guy was about as funny as a poor rabbit being run over by a Hummer. This is the first time i've seen this, it's pretty funny. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:24:50 GMT+1 completeuttermadnessCUFC "I want wa wetractwion"Guys, the blog itself might not be up to much, but the video's pretty good. Give it a rest now. Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:23:18 GMT+1 JohnTerrysHardTackle - JA606 is the future "You were supposed to bastardize my voice you bugger!"Really enjoyed it, Keep them coming! Fri 19 Nov 2010 13:11:48 GMT+1 digitaljacknife Lol, funnier than the last couple, whoever does McCarthy and Hodgsons voices are brilliant Fri 19 Nov 2010 12:50:00 GMT+1 freddawlanen Another top quality episode.Just how is Mancini expected to get CL football when he only gets £100m to spend each transfer window? It's about time the owners of City gave him a real budget, or he'll be stuck in 5th again come May ;) Fri 19 Nov 2010 12:43:43 GMT+1 Dave the hedgehog- Doitchampions God not yet another "bring back Robbo" sad act already.Great stuff though Mario, Damo & the Tricky man.will comment further later when i have had time to study this excellent episode in detail.Don't let the Robbo freaks get you down, they will get fed up & go eventually because the special one conquers all. Fri 19 Nov 2010 12:27:13 GMT+1 Vox Populi It's not funny. It's potentially a great idea that's been messed up by people who think they're much funnier than they actually are. Get some proper comedians working on it- even Alistair MacGowan would do- and it will be better. Fri 19 Nov 2010 12:22:53 GMT+1 Bad-Mick This post has been Removed Fri 19 Nov 2010 12:18:08 GMT+1
