Remembering those pictures, I can't see that it can p[ossibly mean "crude", so he must mean that you haven't combed its hair.At this point I want to see pictures of a house that *has* had its hair combed! :-)makeitclear, that's a bit of a baffler. Maybe they will realise that whoever referred it to them was being silly, and put it back. For what it is worth, I agreed with it in a rather sad way, but found nothing to add because you'd said it all. This must have been deemed offensive. I give up. Chris: thanks again. I do appreciate your support but fear it is an uphill struggle. Actually, like pushing water uphill. The number of active terrorists may be very small, but a person's wish for peace is much different from the liklihood of their phoning the police with information. The names of the terrorists responsible for the attack will probably be on a file somewhere; but would you come forward and say that the staunch Republican who lives next door has been away for the past few days? Jerry Adams in his cold and measured tones talks about the murders being "counter poductive".This man is without compassion. He is a zealot in a suit, emotionally blunted and single focussed on his own narrow cause. What kind of brutalisation and indoctrination causes someone to be like this? Well there are probably yet many on both sides of the divide who likewise harbour hatred and even in this flowering peace do not feel able to reach out. However, for Adams and Mcguinness not to be able to express some human feeling about these awful acts is very, very sad, and to there great discredit. Everyone thinks it's terrible and no-one wants to go back to the "bad old days". Also had a few comments observing that there is now a fear of retaliation. It's that "eye for an eye" mentality that could make this snowball out of control.
