They are committing Libya to a long civil war, if Benghazi does not fall, instead of a truce. And if it falls, apparently we shall be recolonising the country with death squads and special forces helping organise guerrilla war and assassinations. Occupation?? Get a dictionary. It would be British terrorism and anti-democratic at that. Because it won't be the majority Islamists in Libya who are allowed to form a government but a rich pro-Western clique that has recruited sections of the poor to do their dying for them. Pay attention yourself. Ground troops was is what the US, UK and France are including. Nick Clegg will explain they aren't occupying the country. 'All possible measures' to stop civilians being killed? The US, France and the UK say that means ground troops. I'd have thought it meant a Peace Conference and the Gaddafi truce, NOT bombing by the West, nor ground troops nor even an exclusion zone. Complete removal of postings and their numbers is relatively new? Anne P I think you have hit the nail on the head! They are all getting bit twitchy and I think the latest news that The House of Saud is clamping down on their citizens and attempting to prevent demonstrations only goes to prove it.
