That way, there'd only need to be one post on the subject, as it would remain anchored to the top of the blog until the PM team decided to remove the flag, so relegating it back to its chronological place in the post listings... Thu 18 Nov 2010 15:20:52 GMT+1 mittfh I'll give an extra £10 to CiN (directly) if you can arrange for one of the renditions to be played on the TV programme (preferably not the stylophone version - that'll almost certainly hurt viewing figures) :) Thu 18 Nov 2010 15:17:44 GMT+1 vainly_here 12, 13, 14 I think it's something to do with the cuts. The less provocative stuff we write here, the less moderation is needed (in theory), thereby saving money, or, as they say in business, driving out cost. Thu 18 Nov 2010 13:12:09 GMT+1 Poverty I listened to this verbal "advert" twice and I thought that it was saying "Don't send your £10 to the BBC for a CD as only £5 goes to Children in Need, and you only get crappy sacriligious versions of a beautiful theme for the other £5. Instead send the £10 straight to Children in Need". Thu 18 Nov 2010 11:48:03 GMT+1 annasee TIH, don't depress me with statistics. But you're right. I keep dropping by here, but it does feel a bit like flogging a dead horse. If you'll pardon the analogy...;-) Thu 18 Nov 2010 11:35:28 GMT+1 Rob Grover The West Wing is one of the greatest TV dramas to come out of America for many years and the music and opening credits are excellent. How did you get Mr. W.G. Snuffy Walden (crazy name, crazy guy?) onto yuor wonddderful little programme. The Lord Mair's influence clearly reaches far and wide - but we knew that already Thu 18 Nov 2010 10:28:13 GMT+1 The Intermittent Horse jonnie (12) - I think the blog has been suffering for some time. It has now been practically abandoned as a vehicle for discussing any topic covered by PM. A rough count of the threads put up over the last week reveals:Beach - 1 threadStourhead - 1 threadiPM Honours List - 2 threadsPromoting the CD - 13 threadsI think they should reintroduce the strapline. I'd suggest: "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here." Thu 18 Nov 2010 10:26:38 GMT+1 jonnie Yeah thought it was funny - though a little read off the page but hey it's all going to a good cause.Bit of a shame the ol Blog seems to have suffered through the fund raising. A break for Eddie I guess but rather a sad 2010 look from previous years with the multiple postings on the same theme. The silly season used to get comments in the hundreds - hopefully come Friday things may look better. Thu 18 Nov 2010 01:21:59 GMT+1 DiY This post has been Removed Wed 17 Nov 2010 14:34:41 GMT+1 The Intermittent Horse Mrs Effingham - Sadly my gee-up has got-up and gone. Wed 17 Nov 2010 14:27:12 GMT+1 Nigel_N Doretta @ 3How? Insert CD into CD player, shiny side down, close tray, then press play. Be aware that there are some LOUD tracks on it.When? Probably not when holding a posh dinner party. But it should work well with a glass of something alcoholic, or even just as background music. Of course, you could get serious about it, invite the neighbours round, issue them with score sheets and rate every track. And no, I did not spend the rest of the night with the tune going round my head. Wed 17 Nov 2010 14:07:50 GMT+1 Mrs Effingham Gee-up! Horsey... Wed 17 Nov 2010 14:05:16 GMT+1 The Intermittent Horse Mrs Effingham! - Gracious me! Wed 17 Nov 2010 13:52:03 GMT+1 annasee Me neither, P Nutt. Not that I'm one to complain ;-)And shouldn't you stop throwing stones at the poor little birdies?PS The biology teacher liked the owl pellets, apparently. Your influence extends over almost the whole nation Mr Nutt... Wed 17 Nov 2010 13:14:28 GMT+1 Mrs Effingham Thanks Eddie. Wed 17 Nov 2010 13:13:32 GMT+1 DiY I haven't received my Cd yet!Mrs Nut has promised to buy it for me as a Christmas present whilst at the same time contributing to the BBC Children In Need appeal. Two birds , one stone.;-) Wed 17 Nov 2010 13:07:54 GMT+1 Doretta I love West Wing. Very funny! I've received my CD. I haven't listened to it yet because obviously I'm waiting for the perfect moment (actually, to tell the truth, I'm a bit scared). But the really weird thing is that I dreamt last night I was listening to it. I am obviously more than a little scared now. Any advice on how and when I should play the CD? Wed 17 Nov 2010 12:38:27 GMT+1 Mark Iliff Yes, haufdeed, just you.µ Wed 17 Nov 2010 12:23:23 GMT+1 haufdeed This doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid, mainly because I haven't a clue what this American gentleman is talking about. I would suggest a simpler, clearer message. Or maybe it's supposed to be funny? Must just be me, then. Wed 17 Nov 2010 10:59:12 GMT+1
