Comments for en-gb 30 Thu 10 Jul 2014 17:43:50 GMT+1 A feed of user comments from the page found at Gillianian Big Sister - but what about hipsters, trunks, briefs, A-Fronts.....?! There's a whole new world out there ;o) Fri 29 Oct 2010 15:33:45 GMT+1 Big Sister Maybe, Sue, but that's not a good enough excuse for Y-fronts. ;o) Thu 28 Oct 2010 21:53:27 GMT+1 Lady_Sue newlach, shame on you! I love my cardies. Boxers for men over Levi-jeans-ad-wearing age... hmmmm... not entirely sure (no offence). Thu 28 Oct 2010 20:02:30 GMT+1 newlach Has anyone considered the possibility that the quotes from "satisfied customers" are fictional and that Eddie is planning a move to Northern Cypress with a big bag of our banknotes? Thu 28 Oct 2010 19:13:22 GMT+1 shamrock33 I am with you Tag ... too many one-play CDs! Just out of interest where does the other £5 go ? Helluva an admin charge!! Thu 28 Oct 2010 17:10:46 GMT+1 The Intermittent Horse Big Sister - Never mind his shirt, just make sure his boxers remain dry. Thu 28 Oct 2010 17:10:38 GMT+1 Big Sister Eddie, I am developing a very close relationship with our postie as a result of your CD. Every day I rush to to door as the gate swings open. My eyes meet his, as he shakes his head and responds to my mute question with the words I fear: 'Sorry, not today'.Please put us both out of our misery. His shirt is getting soaked from my tears. Thu 28 Oct 2010 17:07:21 GMT+1 Big Sister Yes, Sue, cardigans are very hip now (as I tell my other half). Still can't get him to wear boxers, more's the pity. ;o) Thu 28 Oct 2010 16:28:59 GMT+1 smee It's a comfort of sorts to know that I'm not the only one wondering when the CD will arrive. Just hope it does. "Some day my disc will come..."#13. Young people wear cardies these days too. :¬) Thu 28 Oct 2010 15:48:00 GMT+1 Lady_Sue "I'd like to tell all the critics of us R4 listeners that we are not a load of stuffy old retired people". Perhaps but I suspect that, if we were gathered together in one room, there would be an ocean of cardigans. Thu 28 Oct 2010 15:23:38 GMT+1 davmcn Like Tag, I also don't need a one play CD. Nobody here paid ant attention to the music I chose for Desert Island Discs on the beach, anyhow. I'll take the red rubber bands. Thu 28 Oct 2010 15:16:39 GMT+1 Big Sister I suspect that stalwarts are put at the end of the queue, Ambassador. Loyalty counts for nothing these days ;o) Thu 28 Oct 2010 13:24:15 GMT+1 AmbassadorDelenn Big Sister and annasee (5 and 6) - at least you can take some consolation while you wait for your CDs to arrive that you've reassured me that I'm not the only one waiting. I really shouldn't worry yet if two such stalwarts of the PM Blog are still in the queue ahead of me.I know - flattery will get me nowhere (especially not any further up the queue to get my copy posted.....) :-) Thu 28 Oct 2010 12:00:41 GMT+1 Big Sister Annasee: Well, Dave is clearly 'Glad all over', while the likes of you and I are in 'Bits and pieces'.;o) Thu 28 Oct 2010 09:17:28 GMT+1 Lady_Sue LOL Ellis! Maybe you could use it as a tool on your desert island? Thu 28 Oct 2010 06:49:33 GMT+1 Ellis P Otter 3 - Taggingalong, your nickname seems a little inappropriate given the stand you're taking. Actually, I'm following your line as I heard a lot of them and didn't particularly like the tune in the first place. Could you change your nickname to GreatLeader?Sorry to be a Killjoy. It's a fabulous effort and well worth while but can you imagine being on a Desert Island with this disc?Honest to God, I shall donate at least ten pounds to Children in Need. Wed 27 Oct 2010 21:29:59 GMT+1 annasee Me too, Big Sis. He was probably number three in the queue though...;-) Wed 27 Oct 2010 18:35:34 GMT+1 Big Sister Lucky lucky lucky man. I'm still waiting for mine. :( Wed 27 Oct 2010 17:09:34 GMT+1 steelpulse I have committed myself to purchase one of your delicious CDs but I have just noticed the crust. Or cover - if you like. Just to comment that Pudsey wearing that bandage STILL does NOT reassure me - Children In need - I was hoping for a "short pastry" option to match the tracks lenghts. But "puff pastry"? The two humans also on the front (I would swear but Pudsey is present) - reading - that looks like ..... and the other person is..... goodness me.If that picture is to be believed - there is only the one pastry crust option? "Flakey pastry"! And no offence - but mille-feuille vanilli? So - is there an option to have it - the delicious CD Pi - sent in a plain brown envelope, Eddie? Sudden thought! And no Sequin? I love sequins! Wed 27 Oct 2010 16:52:03 GMT+1 Taggingalong Being one of life's realists, I'm resisting the 'wonderful' CD, and preferring to donate the entire £10 to Children in Need, rather than the £5 it gets from the CD sale. That way the appeal gets the whole sum and I can GiftAid it for extra money. Sorry to be a killjoy, but I don't need another one-play CD. And the charity needs the money. Think. Wed 27 Oct 2010 16:44:59 GMT+1 Sid 1. jonnieThe one about the Spanish Armada was tip top! And the one about logic!! Wed 27 Oct 2010 15:42:26 GMT+1 jonnie I'd like to tell all the critics of us R4 listeners that we are not a load of stuffy old retired peopleI find it's normally Radio 4 - especially the comedy slots - that seem to think the listeners are 'a load of stuffy retired people'.Having said that, anyone who looks forward to Melvyn Bragg's 'In our time' must meander a little from the norm.
