Why ill considered? Apart from calling it Ulster in the other one, my point is that the BBC ignores Ireland, Republic of Ireland that is, as if it doesn't exist. It doesn't even have a name, whereas when the broader picture of Europe is shown, the countries have names. Try another. But I'll warn you that it was a rather ill-considered question. Tue 20 Jul 2010 21:21:53 GMT+1 DoctorDolots http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/pm/2010/07/the_pm_weather_map_2.shtml?page=37#comment6 Interesting that my comment, which WAS number 1, asking what the amorphous pale blue mass under Ulster was, has been deleted and another put in its place. I know it appeared as I saw it numbered 1. I'm puzzled why Ireland's weather can't be included since they are so close. I'm sure Belgium gives the weather in Holland and France and Germany, but I expect real Europeans are more broadminded about these things, not having a fagend of empire on their doorstep, so to speak. The Borders is the only place where you could even be in four regions. Mind you, I asked everybody within 50 miles if they minded, and neither of them did. They said that, in today's big society, they'd be happy to look upwards voluntarily in return for a licence-fee rebate. For a bit more, they'll 'phone you and tell you what it's like up there. Turns out it was the Scottish conservative party. But they got shot before they got to the border.
