It would be interesting to know how much you use the shotlink stat's to monitor strengths and (comparitively speaking of course!) weaknesses in your Tour game.Do you find that your upbringing in Britain, where you likely learned to play the game along the ground as much as in the air, leads you to different strategies to your American tour peers? It is partly because I am comfortable with the club itself, but I can use it to bump or to generate height depending on what is required. I do also find myself taking my 7 or 8 iron, depending on what lies in front of my and the flag. One thing I always avoid, even if it is a percentage shot is, I never putt from off the green. I think that it promoted bad chipping. Having said that, I have just started playing from more than 5 months away due to a bad knee and nothing is working now :) Mon 29 Mar 2010 09:49:38 GMT+1 Geraldthegolfnut http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/martinlaird/2010/03/in_this_blog_i_thought.html?page=14#comment1 Hi Martin! Do you do any drills to keep your short game and putting consistent? I have heard that professionals sometimes practise their putting by striking a piece of PVC pipe the width of a putter blade at home on the carpet to ensure square contact, is that something you do? Good luck at the Masters - now you know we'll be watching both your short game closer to see how well you roll the ball. LOL!! Sun 28 Mar 2010 20:34:58 GMT+1
