I don't buy the argument that it'll be online a few minutes later anyway so we should probably show it - especially not for the BBC. I suppose, though, that for viewer interest to be piqued, reporting on one death around the corner from home is equivalent to showing a violent train smash thousands of miles away. My issue is only when the footage substitutes for the story.
Curious to know if the BBC considers job seekers to be explicitly part of their K&L audience. I see products in this space as an ideal opportunity to help upskill viewers and indeed educate on entrepreneurship.
