A significant proportion of traffic is referred to BBC News and BBC Sport from the main BBC homepage - 44% and 35% to each respectively during July of 2011.
So News, Local news and Sport remain clearly signposted and are positioned higher up on the new homepage - getting more headlines 'above the fold'.
In time, nations' homepages united into a single product to provide relevant local and national information based on a user's choice of location - a key 'Putting Quality First' commitment.
We think the carousel could find feet in the other products of BBC Online...
I have asked it many thimes, but after this afternoon, I have to ask it again.
