18 @Ajisai Yes we have had some technical issues which has meant that some programme images went missing. It was fairly complex but we are working through the issues to correct them.
19 @Darren We are working on enabling DRM downloads for radio, as you can currently get for TV, and will be releasing this functionality later this year. It’s a very significant piece of work, involving replacing various back end infrastructure technology, and consequently is taking some time. But I can confirm it’s a very high priority for us! 21 @Jean Murphy You can add any programme from the iPlayer Radio website, even if it is not currently available. The advantage of our new system compared to BBC iPlayer is that your list of Favourites will be the same on all your devices, but we do ask you to log in to BBC iD to enable this. There is a known issue on Android around pausing then resuming programmes which we are investigating

31 @Russ You’re not correct in saying live listening is no longer under the control of the BBC. We do serve our live radio streams via the Radioplayer console on desktop web, but that doesn’t mean we don’t control it. We do not use Radioplayer on mobile web or in our BBC native apps.

Programme Updates are ordered by most recently available. So a programme with an episode that has just been broadcast will appear at the top of your Favourites list.
The only exception to this is when the programme is a "one-off" and is not part of a series, in which case the programme episode will not appear under "Programme Updates" as there wouldn't be any updates, and you can find that under "Episodes and Clips", which is also where you can find links to clips you have added. Here is an example of a clip that would appear under "Episodes and Clips" but not under "Programme Updates" - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01sdgqw . Worth noting also that you can remove an expired episode from "Episodes and Clips" whilst still retaining the programme series which is shown under "Programme Updates".
As Daniel notes in his blog post, we are working on improvements to Favourites in BBC iPlayer Radio to reduce the number of clicks, and to show more relevant information (such as "expiring soon").
However, we recognise that there are areas to improve, and will be working hard to introduce those changes as quickly as we can.
One point to reiterate, is that you can add a whole series to your Favourites, simply by adding any episode. Once you have added an episode, you have added the whole series. Then visit the Favourites page via the iPlayer Radio tool bar at the top of every page, and you'll see the programme (series) you have added. Click the programme title to see available episodes to listen to.
If you are having problems finding a specific programme, try typing the programme title into the "Find a programme" search box on the homepage (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/). Similarly, if you'd like an over-view of what's on-air across BBC radio right now, click the "Stations" on the same page.

@french frank The classical music metadata published on bbc.co.uk should be correct so whatever you see displayed in programme playlists will be what gets saved to your list if you add from there, but we are seeing some examples where our partner services can't always match the music you have saved to your list. We are working to improve that situation, so examples of that happening should reduce over time
@Johnny Garmouth and @Kevin - Android 2.3 users can still listen live and on-demand to BBC Radio using the standard iPlayer as you point out, or the mobile web version of iPlayer Radio. The app gives an even better experience but to ensure these features work seamlessly, we needed to use a newer technology not supported on older versions of Android. We chose HLS because it allows us to deliver new features in the future. It also allowed us to make background listening (a key scenario for Radio) easier and smoother on Android. We would probably have stuck with Flash for a while longer if it was still supported on Android but because it isn't we had to make a decision and went with a strategic option. I can also recommend the Radioplayer app which will work on earlier versions of Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.radioplayer)
@ Ewan - Fair point. We didn't want to restrict access to the app for 10” tablet users as we knew it would work with only minor amends to the smartphone version, but we are aware that the UX is not as well-optimised as it could be for devices this size. We felt that it was still a good experience, and well worth launching. Rest-assured that we do intend to readdress this in the future. The same is true for iPads where at the moment we offer only a 2x version of the iPhone app.
@Dave Parker - the post was referring to other BBC apps, some of which are available on earlier versions of Android than Ice Cream Sandwich, but we still see the most installs coming from ICS or later
@Chris - re. podcast subscriptions and favourites - you won’t be surprised to hear that we are looking at both these features, but can’t promise any dates at this stage
@Rob - I’m sorry you’ve had this problem with your S2. We have become aware of issues with some Samsung devices running Android 4.1.2, and are actively investigating the possible causes, with the help of Samsung.
