I've just been reading the Denbighshire Visitor which offers an explanation: "Plans to axe Cae Ddol were announced in January as part of a list of money saving measures aimed at helping the county's education services and was said to save the council £7,000."Not the answer you were looking for, I guess. As far as we can find out no notification was given. On investigation the reason behind the action was to save money!!!!! this pool is only open on hot summer days, not often then! It took a crew of council workers + a JCB to do this act of vandalism. How much did that cost? When open this was a very popular spot for young families and a cost free day out. We have started a pettion origanaly to get the pool re-opened, but that looks unlikely. So we will use the pettion to hopefully get something in its place. The pettions are in shops in Ruthin and we will be at the next coucil meeting on the 21/06 to present it. So if you see the pettion please sign it. Thank Fri 12 Jun 2009 20:21:59 GMT+1
