The English rugby team has won one world cup in 2003 and reached the final in 2007 so they have nothing to learn from the Olympians thank you! The Welsh are also reigning Grand Slam champions, so put a sock in it. Steve Trapmore lived in Walton when he learnt to row at Walton Rowing Club. Steve later on went to win a title at Henley Royal Regatta and won a gold medal stroking the mens eight at Sydney Olympics in 2000. Down the Walton reach they have a number of watersports athelets representing GB at junior U23 and senior level. Most of the promising athletes from rowing go down to Molesey to get into the GB senior squad. It shows how much training the 'sitting down' athletes have to go through to get to the top, if only england football and rugby stars could learn from this we might have a great all over sporting nation Sat 23 Aug 2008 15:59:47 GMT+1 MichaelMcL http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/olympics/2008/08/could_british_canoeing_emulate.html?page=3#comment1 Fareberry; It's on at 8pm China 12 GMT - so 3pm on Sunday. I live in Cyprus and watch on British Forces TV, and the time of the ceremony seems to be a national secret, not mentioned anywhere I am looking!! Help, please. Thanks Sat 23 Aug 2008 15:05:12 GMT+1
