A few years ago he was on the television, with is wife Lisa, also a gardener, doing garden projects. In my opinion he is very knowledgeable, easy to understand equally by the novice or the experienced gardener. His advice is appropriate to anyone with either a small garden or a large plot. His polythene cloche was reminicent of the late, great Geoff Hamilton. In my opinion Toby has been a very wise choice as presenter and I look forward to many more programmes of gardeners world. She being unhurried and purposeful in her approach. Both Monty and Alyce seemed to gel well in the garden. And while on the 'subject' of Monty I can't let this opportunity pass without 'singing his praise'. Dear Monty. Such a gentle yet ferociously passionate gardener; my hero and mentor.Your not forgotten Monty,as the compost flows through my fingers I remember your infectious smile.
