My roses are ridden with blackspot again despite armilotox - is Strawberry Hill as resistant as they say? I am writing from across the pond, I don't know if you get these varieties in England. Just as well, something has taken a fancy to our broad beans and is overnight destroying all the foliage on all the plants, just leaving the pods looking sorry for themselves, but we can't see anything on the leaves of remaining plants, or on the ground. Also our runner beans have succumbed to virus. But being polyanna-like our el greco courgettes are cropping well. Anyone got any good recipes for using up courgettes? My favourite climber is Mme Alfred Carriere, but its not particularly disease resistant. American Pillar is my husband's favourite, and has always been rampant and disease resistant.
