IT'S THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE OR NOTHING!!

Premier League Arsenal

comment on the article

As we have shown by our performances rather than Wenger rhetoric Arsenal have shown every man and his dog that we are not good enough in any way shape or form to win the Premier League.

I don't know if we should concentrate on the only major trophy that I think this weak squad is capable of.......

The Champions League.

We cannot keep going on like this !!!

We needed to win to restore some confidence in the league....

Can someone say something positive so we can believe in this team !!!

P L E A S E !!!!

The problem with Arsenal is they play well against ManU, Chelsea & Liverpool, i do not expect Arsenal to lose any of these games home or away this season, but this isnt what wins the Premiership, the games we should be winning are against the other clubs. Our lose to Hull and this draw will come back to hunt Arsenal. At the end of the day we re just not good enough.
It means nothing when you win 4-0 on a Tuesday only to be in disaray during the weekend. We did the exact same thing after Carling cup.
Also, i dont know why Adebayor is still starting, bench the guy and play Vela, Wenger shoudl have figured this out by now, come on????

The same old story, the bottm line we may win something but the teams like liverpool Man U Chelsea deserve it more who are we to think we should win the league when those teams spend more money to bring quality players to their club so that the fans can have something to celebrate. I think Cesc should let the Manager Know that if the squad is not strenghtened with established players he will go and i will support him if he does go at the end of this season.

i've been quite confused by arsenal fans negativity this season especially when my team (manchester united) have been doing worse than them so far and i still believe we can win the league. Arsenal's problem is that they haven't even played many tough games this season, if they drop points to the top four those are all 6 pointers, for example lose to chelsea home and away and you won't win the league, same with united. but its games like sunderland away where its cold and wet and that they're gonna have to work hard for chances against a team that are well up for it that most football fans need convincing that they can do a job on them and come away with the points. Arsenal still can be contenders but they need to go on a big winning run right now but thing is other teams will look at whats been done by fulham, hull and sunderland and reckon they'll have a chance, a result against arsenal can kickstart a smaller teams season and it is always a huge match for any team so arsenal have got to want it more. it would be nice to see arsenal get dirty and physical sometimes just to show they can give some back.

gunnarshunba:- good point about the amount of stick Ade gets. I think some of the Arsenal fans will never like him if he scored 40 goals every season. But he is laughing all the way to the bank, and from what a Togolese friend told me he has some massive investments back home, yielding almost half what he earns so he can STICK TWO FINGERS at these moronic fans anyday and rightly so.

Instead of encouragement its pathetic nonsense you get from the "prawn sandwich crew"

------------------------

Well Ade is a good player as he has shown, but as for him being a servant to the club.

I think you can judge by his behavior in the summer i.e conflicting statements moments apart. He does not have loyalty to the club, maybe this is why he gets stick from the Gooners out there. In my opinion, if he had been a bit more respectful to the club in the summer, the fans would have more respect for him now. As for his money ventures back home...

Go on then Ade, stick your fingers up to the fans because you are earning a few quid, I'm sure they already know how greedy you are.
Do us all a favour, just keep scoring goals like you have been. Arsenal can use you too, hopefully we can make good money out of you when you move on. Which obviously wont be too long in happening, as you have shown your true colours already. Oh and stop kissing the badge, you don't mean it.

I don't think people who give a player like Adebayor stick are "moronic" or part of the "prawn sandwich crew"!. I would say that they are the true fans who expect loyalty from one of their top players, and get annoyed when he tries to cover the cracks of a rocky relationship, by kissing the badge.

Teams outside the big four like to place 10 men behind the ball and play defensively. Wenger can't keep making this an excuse for the teams poor performance. Its upto Arsenal to break teams down with their superior qualities.
Arsenal game is to play around their opponent Man U play through them with the likes of C.Ronaldo.
Last season Arsenal had the ability to vary their game with Hleb, who drew defenders out of position allowing space behind the defence. Velas and Nasri have theses qualities but Wenger chose not to play them until the last few minutes of the game. Walcott is an impact player lacking strength, consistency in his passing and choice of passes. This causes Ade to drift to the corner to get the ball and prevents Walcott from getting to corner. Denilson is not a defensive midfielder lacks strength and stamina.
Wenger can sometime get caught up in hype surrounding Arsenal and lose focus. The team did great beating Sheffield but it's not Man U, Chelsea or LFC nor does it equate to any silverware.
At the end of the day Wenger should be judged by is ability to bring silverware to the club. Its not how you start but how you finnish. Arsenal had a brilliant start last season but ended up with nothing.

One of several key issues to the club's position is Ade...he has scored in merely ONE of the SEVEN league games (& no top opponents!!!). His egotistical manner added to his over rated performances (good power and mobility...but poor control, decision making, goal poaching and shooting accuracy) are detrimental to the team. Bendtner, and possibly Vella, Walcott, and later hopefully Eduardo should get more starts/playing time.

This is too early to throw in the towel. Even
if Arsenal does not win anything this season they are still the best team to watch.

Considering how much money other teams are spending Arsenal still has the best ROI.
Arsenal operates on a shoe string budget comparing on the other big three and the top four wannabes.

Many of my fellow Gooner fans are worried for the simple fact that we have dropped 8 points when our first seven games were on paper very kind. But this is probably the reason why we have dropped points.

The likes of Hull and Sunderland clearly went on the defensive. Against Hull, it was down to our complacency when going 1-0 up, which I'm sure we won't repeat, and at Sunderland it was down to a linesman blunder, otherwise, I have no doubt that we can solve our problems.

The more tougher fixtures, i.e. the trips to the likes of West Ham,Wigan,Boro,Pompey,Villa and City, might not be so frustrating since those teams will not go too defensive against us as they are more ambitious sides, meaning they won't be so compact at the back.

Needless to say we will be under more pressure, but we must point out that as bad as we are at set-plays, we haven't yet conceded any goals resulting from passing moves, which is a good sign because if Wemger arranges our aerial problem we will be as strong at the back as the rest of the big Four.

I cant see this start being the worst i have seen over the years. i think the games we have played have shown some great team play and movement but poor in front of goal ( not the first time said for the arsenal team) but i think just give the boys some time. Its hard but we have to
AW is quite stubborn and wont change many things but we know he can produce a strong squad of players and with the team being young and slightly niave in front of goal we just have to trust the big man will pull them through. I know i am

SO CMON ARSENAL !!!!!!

p.s love seein the table with spurs cleaning the premship floors lol
