JezRodando (U6628096) posted Apr 4, 2007 Absolutely stunning. Track cycling is now the most successful sport in Britain thanks not only to highly dedicated competitors but also to a fantastic back-up team. I can only wish them tonnes loads more successes in all the forthcoming events. Well done!!

Bigringmonster (U8025571) posted Apr 5, 2007 Yes, it is fantastic and we should all celebrate the successes of the World's however it is largely due to the fact that BC are simply inputting large amounts of lottery funding into the track at the expense of the road.

hockinsk (U1650299) posted Apr 5, 2007 BC invested the money where it would produce the most rewards for sure, but it's really down to all the hard work and efforts of individuals and riders behind the scenes that gives us the edge over the rest of the World. There is no UK Road Racing at a high level in the UK and so the finite amount of money BC does have to play with would surely have been eaten up just setting up the Road Racing infrastructure, let alone win any medals.
