More about me:

quote

I am the chief football writer for the BBC Sport website. I was at the World Cup in Germany in the summer and suffered England's incompetence close up. I was born in Liverpool, although I do not remember the glory days of The Cavern as a colleague once suggested. The highlight of my football career was playing against the full Wales team at what is now the Millennium Stadium. Ask Ryan Giggs - he still has nightmares about facing me.
