1. 2007 annus horribilis grr
2008 annus mirabilis smiley

2. Irvine is and has been fantastic. A likeable guy but also very intelligent when it comes to the beautiful game. He knew exactly what was needed when he came in and took the players right back to basics. Brown was a very astute signing and by all accounts so is Trotman smiley

3. Promotion to the Premier League! Come on whites!!!

I've found this season really hard work! A.I.'s done a fantastic job and full credit to the players for taking in and responding to his ideas and methods.
Needless to say I'm more optimistic about the next campaign!

if we add the 2nd half of the 2006 and the 1st half of 2008 we would go up as champions

easy really

but then if you look at the whole of 2007 we would have got relegated

this league is so up and down that besides west brom and the bottom two every one else is as much as a muchness and the teams who stay in the league will again think they could hit the play offs or could go down

not like any other league in the world

1. Reality check. We've grown too accustomed to bing up there in the thick of it in recent years. Could be just the kick up the arse the players and fans needed.

2. Very well indeed. Motivation and organisation of players has been great. Comments from players all suggest they are 100% in favour of his management of the club. Good judge of ability in the transfer market if Browny is anything to go by (not seen enough of Chaplow, Hart & Trotman yet but all look potentially v good as well).
He's making firm steps in the right direction.

Next season? I'm already a bit concerned that people are setting sights too high again. Next I'd say play-off contenders. Year after will be champions
