Everyone is going on about Fabregas who was good. But Flamini was MOM for me. His tackling, passing and movement was excellent.

Well done boys, well deserved. <ok>

Though not an Arsenal fan, I'm proud of the fantastic display put up by the lads yesterday. They are seriously becoming adept at scoring last minute winners, just remember Aston villa last weekend and Man. Utd at the Emirates earlier in the season.

Congratulations, victory well-deserved.

there you go, not even the 'great' Man U could go to the san siro and win there against AC. just proves the FA cup game was just a fluke and off day for us. All those people on here after the 0-0 at emirates saying we did not have a chance. 2-0 against the current holders. what a result. Bring on the CL.

Fabregas and Flamini were world class last night.

They absolutely bossed the midfield against possibly the best midfield in the world (Pirlo, Kaka, Gattuso etc).

What impressed me most is how well we pressed and won the ball back. Fabregas's tackling was immense and we already know what Flamini can do.

I even stood up and applauded when Walcott chased Kaka down and got the ball of him. Quality!

Im a united fan and i actually thought a nil-nil at home 2 weeks ago was a good result for Arsenal.
I backed them to get a result last night and am not the slightest bit surprised they did.
Milan are not the Milan of old and in my opinion last season was a "last hurrah" of sorts.
You can only rely on Kaka so many times.
Just look at the Serie A , are Milan not 18 points adrift of Inter? An Inter side made to look ordinary against a Liverpool side 10+points of the pace in this country?
Italian football is not what it was.
Difference between United last yera and Arsenal this is tactics. Wenger got it spot on whereas SAF messed up. We played Milans reputation and as soon as the first goal went in we were beaten. We were set up to defend the lead we had rather than go at them. You just had to look at the players. At 1-0 they didnt know what to do and by the time it got to half time it was 2-0 before SAF could change anything. Milan sat back which is how they like to play.
As a United fan SAF needs to watch last nights game and learn one or two things from Wenger about how to play in Europe.
We have the best 3 sides in the comp(United,Arsenal,Chelsea) and we shouldnt be afraid of anyone. Let them be afraid of us. We should play to our strengths , not try to nullify theirs.
Well done Arsenal( that hurts) and well done Wenger.

Beating AC is a great achievement, especially in their own backyard. This will test your character for the rest of the season. Can you maintain a steady run for the prem and the CL? Your squad is looking depleted with some injuries and if fabregas gets injured your doomed! I hope thats not the case as id love a United/Arsenal final and the race for the prem going to the last game!

Magnificent Arsenal, another testimony to the tactical brilliance of Professor Arsene Wenger. When he brought on Walcott for Eboue,i immediately told my brother(he's a Gunner) it was a suicidal move however,it turned out to be a masterstroke.
I gave them no chance against the Milan elders but they totally outclassed the legends. On the strength of this display,i seriously hope we do not face them in the quaters if we beat Olympiacos.
Wenger might just have discovered the secret of winning the CL.
Congratulations Gunners, wether we like it or not,you guys sure deserve the victory.

On a seperate note, good luck to Eduardo. I hope the recovery is speedy; Arsenal will be a force to reckoned with once he's back.

That would be the 'great Man U' who went into the game without 3/4 of it's back 4 (Neville, Evra & Ferdinand), the other of whom was making his first appearance for 5 weeks (Vidic) and it's centre forward (Saha).

If you want to delude yourselves you could have got that result without Sagna, Clichy, Gallas and Adebayor then do but get some perspective before shouting the odds.

And yeah the FA cup game was a fluke, United played their best 11 and Arsenal played a team of babies. It's the only way the world's greatest team ever (c) could ever lose a game.

Great performance and result but why must everything always come down to point scoring with you guys. Chelsea fans are less arrogant.

I think this will give the Arsenal players a confidence boost and help bolster their league campaign. Its going to be a very interesting run in and I have a feeling it will go down to the last game in the season! Also I feel pretty confident that an English team will win the Champions League this year as Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea will be in with a good shout!

I'm a Man. United fan, and I've certainly not been claiming that Arsenal are finished this season. In the Premier League, you guys have that extra point on the board, and I've been expressing a little concern about my team's title hopes this season. We've lost more games than Liverpool, so what worries me is that, while we seem fine for the most part, our hopes could be ruined by the fact we seem to suffer too many off days.

Anyway, back on topic. I didn't see Arsenal's game, but the result speaks for itself. The one thing I will say is that Milan have been dire at home all season. You might even say that you were always more likely to get a result in the San Siro than at the Emirates. But that's a minor point.

On a thread about my own team's match yesterday, I stated that I believed that if we're going to win the Champions League, we'll face stiffer challenges than Lyon. I said that, for that reason, we needed a big performance that sent a message out to Europe. Well, we got through, which matters most, but the performance was more... workmanlike. Job done, but no great statement of intent was sent out. It seems, however, that Arsenal did exactly that. The loudest message last night was that your young team really could go all the way.

When I read Fabregas' comments claiming that Arsenal 'have no fear', I dismissed it because he's hardly likely to come out and say, 'we're playing Milan in the San Siro tomorrow and half the team is terrified.' But it turns out he meant it. You played without fear, and got the result you deserved.

So congratulations to Arsenal. I just hope Man. United have looked at that result and now see the standard they will need to reach to win this competition.

fair dos from a milan fan. arsenal had more possesion more urgency and overall SHOWED more quality. milan started well which means that arsenals victory was all the more impressive. its too late now, but i wish seedorf was playing and ronaldo was in strike instead of pato. man of the match is between flamini, fabregas and adebayor. for milan kaka and maldini were class but it didnt come off for us. the real disappointment is losing at home, but the better team won. next season maldini, cafu, serginho, ronaldo, simic all out; amauri, adebayor (hopefully), zambrotta all in.
because they beat us, i wish arsenal all the best the rest of the way.

It's funny how a good result turns people into euphoria.

As a Man U fan I thought Arsenal were absolutely fantastic last night and put Milan to the sword with as good a performance i've seen for a while..

But don't start acting like you're sure fire winners of the PL and CL.

Recent displays have showed that you're not very consistent and one good performance doesn't equal greatness.

I thought we were very negative against Milan last year and that played into their hands and cost us the tie.

On a side note - Italian football doesn't look particularly healthy at the moment does it?

Congratulations AFC. Milan got gunned down at San Siro. Our days in Washington, DC was attempted to be spoilt by the manager of ESPN Zone in downtown. He decided to use the massive screen to televise Washington, Nationals baseball pre-season over 30 futbol fans trying to watch the Milan vs Arsenal game. Some of us almost had an ulcer due to frustration and anger over the manager. But in the end we were watching on small screens to see the fantastic game. As a neutral, I was very much impressed by Arsenal's attacking style with no fear or too much respect for the veterans. So I think the game vs UTD must have not been in the minds of the players.
