I may live in, and love living in Italy, but Wales is where my heart is!! My son, Matteo, was born on Thurday in an hospital in Verona, and today he was proudly sporting a welsh hat!!

Game on for the championship

Wales could effectively become champions in 2 weeks time if they win and England and France slip up

I know Hawick. Now, having seen us play against Italy, would you have given us a prayer of domininating for long spells against France, in Paris. You mentioned some stat about England's recent away form...

13-24 and I am going to make that 'phone call because I am sure that Bruno will take care not to read his email until Monday.

Absolutely brilliant. Devil may care, attack from anywhere, great to watch. They are on the right track and by the time the next world cup comes round will be miles ahead of England, unless Ashton gets a contract which frees him, as the French are now free.

Best rugby I have seen in a while, and let's not forget England, defended well, but they will be all aged 40 or so in 2011. Time to change is now.

Look at France. A great future beckons.

Man of the match. Wayne McCullough look alike Barra, aged 19. What composure.

Of well done England for winning, not that that matters in 2008.

i wish people would stop talking of Brian Moore's commentary in a positive way. The man is an idiot. Please BBC get rid of him!
i've never heard somebody so negative about everything, and as a Scotsman you would think i would like to hear english people talking negatively about there own team, but Moore is just annoying. Every comment he comes out with sounds like your bog standard idiot you'll find in any pub who thinks he knows something about everything.

I'll say it again, Please BBC GET RID OF BRIAN MOORE

I always maintained there wouldn't be a Grand Slam this year. With Ireland (at thw wrong moment) and France to come for the Welsh, I still suspect that it won't happen.

Final day Wales v France and Ireland v England - all to play for.

England v Ireland and Ireland v Wales are shaping up to be two massive matches.

Would would have believed that the England team of the Italy match would be capable of going to Paris and leading from start to finish?

It took the best part 3 games but we started to use the Tongam, bravo. But please, no more Balshaw, no more Regan, If fit let's start with Croft and Haskell, plus Tait at 15 - let's see some pace. Great game by Wiggly. I'd also really like to see JSD come in (in great form) and start with the TOngan coming on as an impact player

Second rower, England scored two tries. Ok, the conversions were kicks, so was the drop goal, but most fans would think that 2 tries out of 24 points is a decent enough effort.

England 3 competitive games against the french now, in rugby. Shame ireland couldn't beat france 2 weeks ago.

Like the semi final of the world world over again, that dodgy first try in the opening few minutes won it for england.

To all those Wales fans out there getting excited, dont get too far ahead of yourselves boyos, you know that England really should have buried you if they hadn't started showboating, a fortuitous win over the shambolic scots and a try fest over the enthusiastic but limited Italians does not make you favourites for the title let alone the Grand Slam. Your pending defeat in Dublin will be the wake up call you need, but enjoy it while you can. As for tonites game, I cant believe how disjointed and error strewn the French were, why do they always leave their worst performances for England!

England have just done Wales a big favour and Ireland still have to play England. Wales should beat Ireland, Ireland did look good but that was against a poor Scotland side. Don't forget that Ireland struggled against Italy and lost against France.

England won. Scored 2 tries to 1. And dominated most of the match. I'm sorry if you don't like it. Now, we need to beat Ireland just as convincingly.

I'm not really bothered about who wins in the England vs Ireland match as they are playing catch up.

If only England could show some consistancy and string 2 halves together we'd be in front and laughing. However, I'd rather lose games and blood the youngsters - especially in the front 5. We need to be looking forward and not pandering to the media/public. We need to lose to progress.

Great performance from the guys, solid, assured and with flashes of inspiration. Get Vainokolo runnign in the next match and we'll do even better.
As for le bleus, it was all a bit one dimesnional, run it from wherever but you need a bit more flair than the current crew to make that work. Still, they're a whole load more fun to watch under Lievremont than they ever were under the hapless Monsieur Laporte.
France will beat Wales and the championship will be decided between England and France.
Congratulations Brian Ashton.
