WOW. Brilliant videos.

Right I'm in the mood for some frog squashing!!!

It'll be such a tight game and we need Jonny on form. He's missed numerous penalties but he needs to start getting them on target. He got away with it last week but I don't think that it'll be the case tonight.

Come on England, Jonny and St Crispin...Huh?

It's certainly going to be tough. The one thing England have got on their sides is that they've been in this position and managed to win.

I'll need a few beers to calm the nerves

I'm too young to drink beer :(

I'll need a couple of cans of Red Bull I think. It depends on whether the footie side puts me in a good mood or not.

I reckon the players from the last world cup will be of great benefit to the youngsters. As you said Jez, they've been here before and they got the result.

It's going to be really hard but cannier from both sides than the 1991 Quarter-final. You have to say a French side than oozes class has the edge on an English side that's only just getting it together, but it remains a game that I simply can't predict.

I'll just sit here and jangle. :)

France sometimes implode in Paris. If England gain the upper hand early on France might just choke.
Or France could be brilliant............

"The inhabitants of Castelnau de Montmiral (a small village in Tarn, sw of France) all are going to meet in a bar on Saturday evening.
All, that is Frenchman's third party and two thirds of Englsihmmen exiled in Tarn. Together, they are going to follow this semifinal.
A French-English game for which forecasts go well and that provokes some gentle mockery for a week.... waiting for the D-day and 'la fête'.

Because respect is one of the central notions of rugby. There is therefore no risk of war between the inhabitants of Castelnau de Montmiral.

The Englishmen who live in this village confess they appreciate French game and tricolour players. Whatever the victors, they will be therefore winning on all line. "

;-)

Same report by some of my neighbours, where for instance Mrs is English and Mr is French. Kids dont know who to support :-) :-) :-)

Strongbow <ale> or Champagne <bubbly> tonight ?
May the best win and enjoy the game !

Vive " l'Entente Cordiale " ;-)

Cheers from Toulouse my Perfide Albion's friends ;-)

It’s so hard to predict a winner and that’s the truth, the French can blow hot or cold and the England team have only had one convincing game so far this WC. But my hart says we will win and the French will succumb to the English who are going to rampage around the park slaying all before them. Back to back Semi final wins against the boys in blue by the men in white would be fantastic. I think the French will be more worried about us then we will about them and that should give us the edge. Well let’s hope so!!

This is nerve racking having to wait all this time for the game to start

I'm an Engalnd supporter and i ahve come up with two scenarios that may happen 2day. Either we wll win but it will be close and it will be down to Jonny's kicking or we will get thumped by France.

I feel that France will probably have taken more condfidence out of the way they beat France, than we did against Australia. This mite give them the edge.

i also think that are biggest weapon, which is the scrum wont be effective as it was against Australia as France like to scrummage aswell.

I'm so nervous already .. I'm playing in an hour, then going to come home and get ready to go and watch it with some mates ... COME ON ENGLAND! The Battle of the Back Row will be intense .. with the two form opensides of the tournament playing in Dussatoir and Moody, the two veterans on the blindside of Corry and Betsen, and probably the two most imporved players of the tournament; Easter and Bonnaire at 8. Two great back rows, what will the difference be; JONNY WILKINSON!

France have the psychological edge after the NZ showdown and chances are that they will put England away tonight but we've already witnessed nearly a whole Cup packed with upsets and shocks, so technically, anything could happen. Neither side will give the other an easy time and I expect a full on, winner takes all battle in all positions. If France win, they could very well go on and claim the glory of the final but I can't see England beating Argentina or SA should they win. Ironically, only the winners and runners up of groups 1 and 2 are left.

I haven't felt this nervous in the run up to a rugby game since the time leading up to the World Cup Final in 2003.

It makes me feel tense and weary just thinking about the game and there is less than 9 hours to go!

England now have a fantastic opportunity they have earned by dragging themselves up to the right level after a woeful performance against the USA. We are now performing as a unit.

Equally, France are now as dangerous as I have ever seen them. If both sides get the most out of their team I think we are in for an epic.

I also think Dallaglio will be in tears again during the anthem :)

I have never been so nervous, trying not to get down the pub too early! I think the backs may pull something out the bag, if the forwards can get the edge. It was good to hear Catty saying he didnt kick in the Oz game as he saw the back three hanging back, rather than dogedly following a plan. Shows what BA likes, heads up rugby. I think this week its the backs time to show the step up. Just a gut feeling.

Even better I am in Windsor and Zinny drinks in my local,a bit too big in person to point out AB performance.

"My French is a bit rusty, but here we go...

Not so bad for an Englishman ;-) ;-)

"joué dans le bon esprit."

I dont think we will see old shameful streetfighting games as in the past years (e.g. '90's 6N tournaments).
Both side show more respect today. Even if it will be a tough game I think everything will be fair.

Can't really wait for the kick-off indeed.

I'm looking forward to this one.
The English have a solid team and the French are still physically sore after last week. However, French flair should win the day. I hope they win because England have been such poor champions over the last few years and France has usually played better rugby. England really deserved to win in 2003 because they dominated in 2002-2003. Can't say the same for the current team.

Cardifblueblood -

I was at Ascot races who were showing the Wales/Fiji game on a big screen. There with alot of drunk welsh punters, just as the whistle went, one taff shouted at the top of his voice "**** the English",until an english guy quietly pointed out that it was Fiji.

LMAO, shame as I always support Wales or the Celts when playing other sides. I would say four more years but I cant even see that.

As a French man fancying a lot english press and especially The Sun, I would like to say here there's no need for our dear and elegant Sebastien Chabal to eat any children today, it will be enough for my pleasure he has his dinner at around 22pm tonight, after his team mates have gently cooked for him a few fresh and healthy english adults for sixty minuts in the field ! hehe. Giving up the teasing now : the preassure is on France team for this game, that's what makes me afraid for les Bleus, and I've been impressed too by the physicall intensity of the England - Australia game (what a fight it was !), so who knows ? If the French make now fouls under pressure when defending as they did against the All Blacks, then it might be ok, otherwise if Wilko is in a good day there will be a punition, and Wilko in a good day can win a game by his own... Anyway good game all, may the best win (and ... may the French be best !)

It some times seems to me that the Welsh are only capale of defining themselves in the negative. You talk a good game boys, but games are won and lost on the park not in blogs. If you and your team had remembered that last week you might not be sitting at home now with now interest in the outcome in either semi-final. Whenthe talking stopped your team bottled it and our did not. I do not know who will win tonight, but if we put a good performance in tonight then we stand a chance, if we do not we will be home within days. It is that simple.

It appears your only contribution to any debate is to articulate your blind hatred of the English. How sad!
