How are you going to manage a days commentary in 400 words?

time for some early wickets! Harmi's the man to make the breakthrough this morning, a bit of uneven bounce and some rash shots please!

They will bottle it!!!

England, in effect need one wicket and then the rest of the players will fold, even better if that wicket is Shiv, who is a fantastic player!

Didn't last long! He's out, to Monty.

Ramdin gone!!!!!!!!!!
Well played King Monty Panesar!!!

Now it IS possible that 400 words will be enough to cover the rest of this match.

Of course, we all say it's over, but Sammy is in the side as an all-rounder.

Where's the TMS commentry gone??

By the way this page was a bit late showing the Ramdin wicket it was up on the scorecard first. Keep up Tom! Especially if we are not going to have any TMS to rely on.

Chanderpaul's not exactly manipulating the strike out there... three overs in a row now, he's hit a single and lazed off to the non-striker's end. Isn't he interested in protecting his team-mates?

I would say he doesnt want to take risks now that Ramdin's gone and he's only got tail-enders to cooperate with. I'm sure Sammy and him simply want to take runs very calmly without any risks.

Now if the sooner Chanderapul is gone the sooner victory will be achieved by England.

To be fair to Chanderpaul, with 84 overs left in the day's play, there's not much point in farming the strike. In addition, Sammy is supposed to be an allrounder. Let's ee if he lives up to that billing....

Im english but Chanderpaul doesn't deserve to loose, im cheering on the windies, hopefully Sammy can complete the perfect game and get himself a composed 50 and let Shiv do the rest.

If WI get close to the target, the game will change. At the moment there's only a bit of pressure on them. The closer they get the harder it will be to deal with. Eng still big big favourites in my book.

Has anyone seen the CAMRA book on pubs and county cricket grounds? Nearest recommended ones to Old Trafford are in the city centre. Might as well find a pub with a TV then.

Keep the comments coming folks; I'm stuck at work with no radio, no access to live commentary via the web....it's frustrating as hell. Though the score appears to be auto updating on the BBC Sports page.....

I've got a feeling Monty could be in need of some serious 'R & R' after this match.

Or at least this innings, 55 odd overs in the Test Match, and looks threatening while keeping an excellent economy rate, fantastic stuff from Monty!!!
