I don't actually think Dele is good in the air.

If you play the ball to his chest or below, he'll do a job and hold the ball up. More often than not he will then find a red shirt, but we've persisted at launching it to his head, but Dex and Tuds have both shown much more ability in the air.

Still, I always had time for Dele. He did what he was asked whenever he was asked to do it, and during our dip this year, he was the only player that was making us competitive.

However, we need to freshen up the squad and if Dele's on as much a week as has been claimed, we can sign 2 players for the same price.

Pvh tudgays great in the air no doubt but he doesnt have the presence/strength that dele has, if we signed a replacement maybe someone like morison (unlikely) then yeah release him, but find a replacement first!

Sp spend upwards of 2m to replace a 36 year old who has only played about 10 games this season? Players will be bought in regardless if Dele is here or not

He's too heavy to get off the ground. I was always fond of him!

Good to hear some positive stuff about him. Perhaps unfairly we have been a little underwhelmed by the prospect. Most of our memories of him come from him missing some pretty easy chances against us at Wembley when we went up.

What's he like on the assists front? The main negative against him has been people saying that he's scored 5 in 60 for you guys. Really though, as much as anyone wants a player who will bang them in, our problem is service to the likes of Fryatt and Simpson. Do you think he's someone who could do that?

As much as a great lad he is, I am amazed you are signing him

It's not 100% we are.

Someone suggested he was having a medical last week. Then there were heavy rumours on Monday it was a done deal.

Local radio have then reported we're not in contact with him.

We've heard nothing more since.

Apparently we've also been looking at Howard and Iwelumo, who both seem more like "Pearson" targets than Adebola, but we shall see.

he'd do a job for you, maybe not a starter, you get what you see with him, in davies own words hes under rated, not going to get you lots of goals but we've seen him change games when thrown on, whether it be a goal or chest down or flick on, davies has used him mainly away from home an as a sort of last through of the dice kind of player, which imo hes considering the lack of starts hes done well

bl morison was an example, i doubt we have 2 million to spend on players, adebola has brought us an extra option, that has worked at times, hes different, with his size an strength an experience, wouldnt be suprised if we ended up signing shefki kuqi now hes a free agent laugh
