Let people make up their own mind Manyoo Mancees. I have no objection for most of the old Wimbledon fc fans and players seeing AFCW as a continuation even if it is a new club.

I wish all these gloating AFC Wimbledon fans criticising MK Dons could be as magnanimous as you, Furzdonny.

You're fundimentally wrong to suggest that the MK Dons are the continuation of Wimbledon FC, MK Dons themselves have actively tried to distance themselves from that viewpoint to the extent they even handed over all awards won by Wimbledon - MK Dons are as old as AFC Wimbledon

to the extent they even handed over all awards won by Wimbledon

========================

They only handed over the awards to the Borough of Merton because of an uproar by AFC Wimbledon fans.

2 new teams why can't people accept that.I myself was a Wimbledon fan bit that team ceased to exist. It's sad but we have to move on and make a choice so I chose MK Dobs as did my father and my 2 brothers chose Charton.

Technically they are but to most fans MK Dons simply took Wimbledon's place.

The true spirit of the club, the fans, are still at Wimbledon.

I'd be intrested in hearing from genuine Wimbledon FC fans who stuck with MK Dons, they must be torn, personally I feel it was shameful what happened in 02 but I can totally understand why fans from Wimbledon stuck with MK Dons but I wonder if they honestly would rather AFC Wimbledon

They stuck with Wimbledon FC, which moved to MK.
The others deserted Wimbledon FC, forming a new club.

MK Franchise take note of the past 9 years - this is how you earn a Football League place!

as for Franchise being the continuation of Wimbledon FC - really? You sure about that?

You might want to check with 99% of the fans, players and staff of Wimbledon FC (including those were at the stadium or part of the team for the 1988 FA Cup victory), as well as many fans of other clubs who are the real Wimbledon.

By the way, hypothetical question for all you Franchise fans out there - if your club gets relegated to non-league football, what will you do?

Will you:

a) Continue to support Franchise and help get them back into the club?
(which will then beg the question why didn't you do that back in 2002 with the non-league Milton Keynes City?)

b) Abandon the club to steal another club and league place?
(which will beg the question what has the past 9 years been about?)

On 'continuation', Dean Lewington played for WFC, has never been transferred and is now captain of MKD.
About 500 fans have never switched clubs.
Nothing was stolen, the FA gave the owners permission to move the club.
However, for the 2000-3000 who regularly watch AFC, I completely understand that they represent professional football (close to rather than in) Wimbledon, so maybe that makes them the 'spiritual' continuation. Fair enough.

MK Dons bought their league place. AFC Wimbledon started from the bottom and earned it. Just goes to show that MK are so fake that even their fans are so delusional towards the club's existence. You're a disgrace to football and will never, ever be accepted by the real 91 clubs in the league.

Fake club, fake fans. Everything AFC Wimbledon is not.

Are you seriously suggesting that MK Franchise are the continuation of Wimbledon FC on the basis that one player played for Wimbledon FC and for Franchise? That is the worst argument I've ever heard!!

Please tell me you are joking!

emerson: What are you talking about in your last comment? Please expand? You still trying to argue that Franchise is a continuation? Seriously?

Ok. I give in. Your grasp of logic has me beaten. You're right in everything you say.
Good luck in league 2 next season.
