Just one more point. If Yobo and Hibbert were in this defence would Everton have kept more clean sheets?

Of the other players, well Bilyadtinov (spelling!!!) has shown glimpses, but why oh why hasn't he been tried in the middle? Reading was perfect for it. Osman left, Bilyadtinov playing behind Saha!

DAVID MOYES PLEASE READ THIS ^^^^^^^^^

Diniya Bilyaletdinov played in that postion for Spartak Moscow, so why play him as a winger, it is clear he is not a winger. Doesnt have the pace to take players on, and as for defending it is clear as day he doesnt know his postion whilst on the left of midfield.

As for what you say about Victor, he is not worthy of a postion in the Everton team, he adds nothing, Im sure it doesnt help being played on the wing, when your used to playing upfront.

As for the likes of Saha playing week in week out, granted he is our main striker atm but he isnt worthy of it. Saha has brilliant performances, but thats a rare. For me Saha can not work as a lone striker he comes to deep and always drifts out wide always.

Wow, that was a long rant!

I agree that Moyes' loyalty to some players has to be questionned. However, we definitely wouldn't have kept more clean sheets with Yobo and Hibbert. Yobo was always prone to 3/4 lapses in concentration during the game - something that Jags and Distin rarely have. Hibbo sadly has absolutely no pace and was coninually being destroyed by quick left wingers. I don't even want to think about what Bale would have done to him.

I agree the strikers thing was a strange one. I can only say that he obviously felt that he needed to move the Yak on and he was much more likely to get more money for him by moving him on and hoping he scored goals than if he played a bit part for us. Still, I think the Yak has it in him for at least one more goal filled season somewhere.

Anichebe, I believe has lost the hunger he came in to the squad with a few years ago. Some of those teams in the UEFA cup rounds didn;t have a clue how to handle him back then. Hopefully he can get his confidence back but if not he'll have to move on too.

It is time for the youngsters to step up to the plate, Rodwell, Baxter, Gueye. However, with Timmy out injured you either play Billy in there with Saha and bring Beckford on or don;t play him at all for me. You can;t play Beckford on his own, he needs atarget man to make runs off. My vote would be play Louis and Beckford up front and let them gel.

Beckford I think is still living in Bradford so he'll have been caught in an accident then rush hour traffic. I imagine he'd have set off about 3 thinking he had plenty of time. Things happen in our lives like that so it only makes sense for it to happen in theirs.

As I said on a previous thread, at times supporting Everton is like playing the lottery. it's a tax on hope.

and a long response to a loonnng rant ! I just think Moyes left himself little room to manoeuvre when getting rid of Yobo and all the strikers, thus diminishing the competion in the squad. I asked the question about Hibbert and Yobo as it is one that I really don't know the answer to!

I guess Beckford could be forgiven for being late, it was just an odd situation.

Thanks for your insights Einstein! Considering how much Liverpool have spent over the last few years and Everton have been pretty bad, you are still only 6 points above us, and couldn't beat us home and away, so ... engage brain matey !!!!!

Totally agree with the original rant.

We now have to pick up the pieces of what's left of our season!

Most of the players, manager and coaching staff have been a massive disappointment this season.

Lets get to 42 points and hope the club takes a long hard look at itself, before next season!
