He's saying the right things in the below article

He looks great from the clips i've seen. But where to play him? I know who I would drop.

Good times.

Just watched his interview on Tiger Player. Pretty good English so there shouldn't be too much of a communication problem. Champions League and International experience with a real eye for goal, should be a good addition.
He confirmed his best position is central midfield but plays out wide on either side for his country.

Sorry if I'm repeating anything you've already read or heard, as far as I know not many people subscribe?

Excellent news, goes to show we're not afraid to sign players if it improves the squad, even if we consider that area as ok already.
Great to hear the type of contract too, signed until the end of the season with a 2 year extension option means he'll be playing for a contract until the end of the season.

I absolutely love the way this club's being run at the moment!! biggrin

I like this quote from his agent on the HDM site.

"The one thing that is clear now is that Hull is a very well run club. The days of long term deals at Hull have gone.

"You can't go to Nigel Pearson as an agent and start throwing numbers and demands at him, you have to go with quality, and that is absolutely right.

"Adam Pearson is also very influential at the club and they have a very clear blueprint to take the club forward. We are happy Tijani is at the right place."

Any idea how to pronounce the surname? Gutted he can't play Saturday, still not feeling fully confident about the trip to the Madejski. Very exciting signing!

I've no idea how to pronounce his surname, but I suspect it's just as it reads 'be-laid', though on CI we've already affectionately nicknamed him Tiny B***end. whistle

Looks a decent player, young, with good pedigree. Interesting signing for you, and good stuff that you beat Cardiff to his signiture.

Seeing as how you've popped on our board, how about giving us an update on how Hunty and Mouyokolo are getting on?

Also, are you surprised at the Hammill signing, considering you've already got Hunty and Jarvis?

I always look out for Hull, my dad lives that neck of the woods, so I always keep a close eye on them.

Hunt has been decent since recovering from his injury. Not spectacular, but he has chipped in with a few goals and provided us with some balance that we didnt really have before, as Jarvis was our only fit natural winger. Hunty is getting better and better.

Mouyokolo hasnt been as much of a success, he missed a huge chunk of pre season and has had many niggling injuries, so he has been a bit stop start. He came on last week against Man City at 4-1 down and did okay. No Wolves fans could make a fair evaluation of him so far, because he hasnt had a run of games!

Not surprised by the Hammill signing to be honest. We have been linked with him since the window opened. We now have 5 wingers, Jarvis, Hunt, Hammill, Kightly (injured) and Mujangi Bia (hasnt featured apart from the past week) so he will add to the competition and hopefully bring us something differant. The goal he scored againt Hull on the telly was differant class.

I like the look of how your shaping your team now, going for the young and hungry policy. It has worked really well for us. Pearson used it at Leicester so he knows what its all about.

I have a cheeky bet on you guys going up through the play offs, hopefully you will keep this run going and earn me some cash smiley

As a French/Tunisian name is it more likely to be something like 'bel-ay'?

I just asked a French speaker in my office and he thinks it's probably pronounced Bell-ed, but it could be pronounced Bell-ay.

What ever it does turn out to be, Swanny will probably pronounce it Bled and Merson will pronounce it Beladio.

Blunderside are bound to get it wrong, they still call Kamil, Zayattee!!!!

I would have thought, with him being part Morroccan, that it would be prounounced 'Bell-aye-eed'; my Inter Milan supporting friend says that's how it's said, but he wasn't sure whether he took a more French sounding name as mentioned above.

Cracking signing, he is a top class player and wouldn't look out of place in the Premier League, looks like a long term replacement for Ash and a short term one for Harper.

Just looked on the French Wikipedia, and they're spelling it Belaļd, which like Tommytiger says, would make it "Bel-aye-eed".

Like Naļve and Zaļre.

Let's just call him Frank.

he chose us over Cardiff.. now if you're a neutral, young pro footballer you want to play PL footie, you'd probably chhose them..

I'd like to think he saw the talent at City these days and reckons we've a good chance at promotion..

the only issue is the temperament, but if he kicks a water bottle at NP he'll likely be dropped in more way than one!

Won the title in Czech Republic.. can play big games then..

let's hope he's got more substance than Bostock..

good feeling about this one though

I have confidence in the Pearsons and hopefully this will be another shrewd signing. Bostock was very poor apart from his two goals, it won't be hard for Belaid to make a better contribution than him.
