Kallon was mustard back in the day - but he had similiar problem when he tried to join Brum/Derby, no work permit. Used to be a big fan of Serie A and he was lightening quick. Give the new kid a chance I say.

Ooh OLM.... Lincoln in the 70's. I was on the City Psycho's Doubledecker that got taken to Lincoln Nick after the game. Someone lobbed a bottle from the top deck out of the window. Spent ages in a huge holding cell while we all got questioned. The event is documented in Shaun Tordoffs book.

Fortunately I wasn't on that bus and I've managed to avoid ending up in the cells at any City game, though I did miss one game locked in the back of a paddy wagon.<erm>

Lol I'm also based in Leicester, weird that.

With regards to Saviour, I think if he plays for a good club in Sierra Leone, he would have a good chance, it won't be too long until he gets a national team call up. He is eligible to get a trial though, for up to a month I think, so I'd bring him in and see what he does.

He could always marry a british girl, that would make him an English Citizen and he would qualify for England.....

Sorry Ricardo but AP begs to differ
------------------------------
And Alex Ferguson's team selections including the Da Silva twins tend to agree with me. As do Arsene Wenger's teams including Song and Denilson who all came in due to potential without meeting the caps rule.

I suspect the Sierra Leone aspect of it (they're ranked 123rd in the world) is more of an issue than his lack of caps. It's got to be easier to claim potential for someone who hasn't made one of the best sides in the world than someone who hasn't made it to the 123rd best in the world.

Whilst doing the research by the way, Arsenal couldn't get an exception for Wellington Silva (or for Carlos Vela) so they've signed him and loaned him out to Spain for a couple of years:

http://le-grove.co.uk/2011/01/03/arsenals-wellington-off-to-spain-back-in-2-years-just-like-carlos/

I wonder if AP specifically mentioning Belgium means anything. I know Joyce isn't at Antwerp anymore, but weren't we at one point around our friendly with them trying to do a deal with a Belgian club about loaning players each way?
