Lardiello McLean was definitely through on goal it was right infrint of me. Had he not been rugby tackled he would of been one on one with the keeper. It was right that you finished with 9 men but I believe hassle should have walked instead of foster. Hassels challenge was a straight red, fosters was only a yellow IMO. Although fosters challenge was at the opposite side of the pitch and I'm yet to see the replays.

Why the bitterness anyway? We were the beater team and won fair and square.

Yep! My idiot comment still stands too.

I meant it was right the penalty wasnt given. The free kick shouldnt have been given as it was a 50/50 - but either way it was outside the box. You think that because he fell into the box then it should have been a penalty - good one!

Do you want me to scan my ticket in abd send it to you to prove i was there? Why would I make it up?

Sorry Lardiello, but you've lost your title, lunny has taken over as the idiot on this thread. ;)

Thanks for the banter, but the best team won, the game's history and we move on, good luck for the rest of the season and I hope you avoid relegation. <ok>

Poor old Lunny...Permanently trapped in 1984.

HoylandRed:
If and it would have been a big if(poor forwards) he had scored would the ref have recalled it and gave a pen.You cant have it both ways.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Actually you can, if he scored then obviously your defender didn't deny an obvious goalscoring oppurtunity because he scored.

As it was he missed, if your defender hadn't pulled his arm would he have scored? maybe, but it was certainly an obvious goalscoring oppurtunity and in that instance if a foul is committed and the fouled player misses the chance, it's a foul and a denial of an obvious oppurtunity to score.

Now, if another one of our players had gone on to take the shot it would be different because he would have taken the advantage as he wasn't hindered by a foul.

It was a foul, it was a blatent red, it was a pen, it was a deserved win.

Get over it

yours,
somebody who's read the rule book <ok>

P.S. your other guy kicked out at Gerrard, it was at the other end of the pitch to the away end so understandable if you missed it but watch the replay. Should have been straight red 3 game ban, consider yourself lucky you've got one of your centre halfs back after 1 game.
Assuming he doesn't get it extended for the sarcastic clapping in the ref's face.
Absolute disgrace from the captain no less!

Mr Robins Wonder Emporium

Now now, dear, calm down. It's only Soccerball at the end of the day.

<laugh>

PS. We won 2-0. You lost 0-2. Poor show Old Boy!

But <cheers> for the 3 points, Mr Casper. You'd best get back to that Kestrel of yours, I hear your brother's after it.

I don't understand why Barnsley are upset, City were clearly the better side and the only team looking to win the game. Barnsley had one striker up top and camped the rest of there players in front of the goal they didn't even test Guzan.
