Eddie Jordan is a "character". He is fun. He doesn't take F1 too seriously, which is fine with me.

After all, F1 is pure ENTERTAINMENT and BIG BUSINESS - rather along the lines (if you stop and think about it) of THE X FACTOR, or even BIG BROTHER. On wheels....

You know I'm right.

Please sack Eddie Jordan
Formula One

"what he knows about F1 could easily fit onto the back of a postage stamp."

-----------------------------------------------

Complete and utter twaddle!

Eddie is a former team boss with decaades of experience in motorsport and has probably forgotten more about F1 than most people will ever know! I don't always like or agree with his interpretation of events but he does know how the sport works inside out...

"the guy is a complete idiot and what he knows about F1 could easily fit onto the back of a postage stamp."

You may not like him or what he has to say but saying he knows nothing about F1 is a joke. If you really believe he knows nothing then you must have started watching F1 very very recently.

He has run a F1 team for years and he knows everyone in the paddock. Did you not notice how he managed to grab people for impromptu interviews. The way he grabbed Stefano Domenicali after the infamous overtake was genius, not many people have the clout to do that.

I don't always agree with what he has to say but I do respect what he says and anyway he is pretty entertaining and not just a boring stats and figures man.

Poor Eddie....He's great! He's funny , he was a boss so can't really get more knowledgeable than that and he asks difficult questions...which is BRILLIANT.....He has a sense of humour and wears awful shirts and doesn't take himself too seriously....yee Gods...somebody wrote the other day that they wanted the anchors and presenters to have no personality at all.....maybe the BBC should just make a lifesize cardboard cut out and stick a mike in it's hand......

Look Eddie knows the question to ask walking along the pit crew, Jake is a novice or a nodding dog! When they move over to the starting grid then thatís Martin Brundles territory and Eddie Jordan still knows how to engage with everyone, Martin lacks respect, barging through reporters and cameras.
David Coulthard! Well it seems like no one wants to speak to him and also his connection to Red Bull he hardly gives a fair judgement

Happyslayer I started watching F1 in 1981.
When Jordan ran an F1 team he employed Hill, Ralf, Frentzen, Brundle and Firman, shall I go on????
It would appear it is you that knows very little about F!!!!

You may have complained about me saying your opinion was twaddle but subsequent posts have echoed what I said... oh and just because you've been watching since '81 doesn't give you any cause to claim EJ knows nothing! Oh and what has him employing Hill etc got to do with how much he knows about F1 - I repeat.... 'twaddle'!

And then managed to make the interview entirely pointless anyway.
His 'contacts' and 'clout' would all be of use if he could perform a damned interview and didn't just talk over the interviewee...

Craigmans, you've proved you can use google, but your insults of Mr Jordan prove more about your lack of F1 knowledge. You maybe dont like him, but he knows his stuff.

He was the one commentator with the decency to declare team orders as cheating.

Eddie's done pretty well for an idiot, hasn't he?

There's not very many complete idiots who have had a stint as a racing driver, then founded, run and sold as a going concern a Formula 1 team for several seasons, including introducing to the sport the driver who would go on to become a 7 times world champion, then gone on to make another career as a TV F1 pundit, now are there?

@chad_stewarthill

there is a difference between a doer and an explainer. Eddie Jordan was a doer. Ian Botham was a doer. Paul Gascoigne was a doer. Andrew Flintoff was a doer. None of them are capable of explaining. None of them should be let near a microphone.
