NOOOOO!!!

Dont bring bloody attention to Mark Yeates! He's the one that you arent meant to take much notice of - kind of like Kevin Blackhead didn't since buying him! He is our wing wizard, plays the game the right way, an eye for goal when we can get him off Ecclesall Road!

We might have Jamie Ward back for however long he decides he wants to stay on the pitch for. He's fast, you will be thinking you could do with him, we will think the same about the striker we flogged to you 3 months ago!

I notice you play with just the one upfront. We play with just the 3 at the back with Nyron Nosworthy the man that gets a free role to make it a 4. You will be taken aback by him, he is something else. He goes on mazy runs across our 18 yard line. Its only a shame he doesnt continue a mazy run back up the A1 to Sunderland where he came from ok

Upfront Boggy will be leading our line. You will know who he is when you see him. He has long hair and looks like he has been living on the streets for a fortnight after being thrown out by his missus! Some say he is lazy, others say he is just moving slow so the cameras can catch the sponsor on his shirt as it could be them who are paying for him!

1-up front is when its not going right. It actually looks more like 3 up front when we're getting it together as Coppinger and Hayter support Billy.

Sorry about Yeates - If you don't want him to be noticed, he's going to have to play a bit cwrapper than he did in the games that I watched. If you could ask him to do so tomorrow so that your next opponents don't notice him then thats fine by me biggrin

Billy is starting to tick after a quiet start. We love 'im - THANK YOU! Boggy or Billy??? OOOOOO Tough one! A bit like Blackheads or Speed winkeye

You will notice a strong contrast in the style of play under our two managers. We used to go through a season rifleing the ball down the oppositions throats then take it from there;- almost like the football equivelant of a golfing range. Fear not, we pass that ball majestically now. Its a joy to behold sometimes, providing you can keep awake of course. The problem I think is that in midfield it will be flooded more than a rainy pig sty on a July afternoon with a minimum of 8 players in there at any one time.

We dont play well on the cameras however. It would be as wise if you are not going to buy a TV guide. The last time we won on the box was when Chile were designing mines!

It could be a long night - for both sets of fans.

Good to hear that BoggysScissors. I always worried about neck injuries in the Blades' midfield. Cricks as the ball flew over their heads! Speed sees the SOD way!

To be fair to him, he played in one of the best midfields I've ever seen (Strachen, Batty, MacAllister, Speed) so he probably learned it there.

Looking forward to Nosworthy - We like that sort of thing biggrin

Dont worry about our midfield. It will confuse you. You will remember that dark haired guy that attacked the ball in the centre? He is still there but wont be playing tomorrow. He was our midfield dynamo - used to treat the ball like dynamite and get it as far away from him as possible, usually to the stands!

Our new midfield man is far more cultured. You will want him when you walk out of the ground, very good passer - Leon Britton. You will have to squint to see him, quite small you see;- Just like his pay packet, and thats the way we like em at the Lane ale

Congratulations Canadian. I have another Greta Grandson due in February. It's great though, you will get the best of both worlds, the pleasure with your granddaughter and giving her back for someone else to lose sleep.
I presume she will be heading to Domnny and the Belles in 18 years time.

Good to know Sheffield United do badly in front of the TV cameras as well. Should be a great spectacle for the public.

It could be a real cracker or a bore draw with us cancelling each other out.

I have really no idea. But I'm so excited.

Blades first half was a joke..not even worthy of league 2,it's a long time since I saw us put in 45 minutes like that under any manager.Second best all over the pitch.Poor marking and not going with runners for both goals, nothing going on in midfield, nobody holding the ball up front, hardly surprising playing Bogdanovic on his own,to sum up...total garbage.

They just got close there through Ward yikes

Another overhit - Stock that time erm

Not entirely sure why any television channel would pick Utd for TV again, they're not usually outstanding, but become worse on the telly. Even as a Blade I've decided to watch some paint dry on my wall, god knows what the neutrals think!

If anyone's interested the paint is 'apple white'...been going for about 33 minutes now. If you fancy coming along to watch it dry it'll be 25 for one sitting or you can get a season ticket for 250...let me know.

On our starting 11 today:

Simonsen - questionable
De Laet - decent, not our player.
Nos - absolute plank. Terminate loan, please.
Morgs - fine, as always.
Calve - drifts in and out.. more out recently.
Yeates - have no idea why he keeps getting praised, didn't see the Hull game but never seen him do anything of note for us.
Britton - poor game but usually solid.
Ertl - not good enough. Miss Monty.
Quinn - for a change, looking a bright(er) spark in the squad.
Cresswell - like him but done naff all this season
Boggy - looking decent, would do well with service, I reckon.

Our team's just not good enough. Ward needs to be in there, he was on how long today? Caused them issues, wanted to attack. Lowton looks like he could be a decent attacking player. Slew looks hungry, get him in before he gets fed up of waiting, see what he can do.

We haven't got creative midfield players to provide for strikers, so we need ones who can create for themselves! I.e. players with pace.. Ward and Slew. I like Boggy but no one to give it to him, Cresswell's doing nothing, at all. I don't know what Speed's seeing in training in half this squad but there's better players sat on our own bench who would relish the change to be playing in this team. Nosworthy needs to be dropped, though! How many goals has he cost us this term?!

I still have faith in Speed but his seemingly first choice 11 is raising questions.

Simonsen was okay. Did nothing wrong.
De Laet was rubbish - so many wayward passes.
Nosworthy was okay - but could be a lot better.
Morgs was out of sorts - not up to his usual standard. Not commanding enough at the back.
Calve seemed half asleep part of the time.
Yeates was okay - when he got the ball. We just weren't shifting it down the wing in the first half.
Britton was good - good tackling, good passing. Had no choice but to pass backwards because the forwards were in offside positions.
Ertl was a bit of a non-entity.
Quinn ran a lot but passing was poor.
Cresswell - doesn't do well on the wings, was better when we put him in a more central role.
Bogdanovic couldn't get into the game, although admittedly he wasn't getting any service.

All round - apart from a little spell in the 2nd half the passing ranged from poor to non-existent. The defence was just panicky and uncordinated. We improved towards the end of the 2nd half after changing the system - maybe we should have been playing that system from the start.
