This is embarrassing. WBA is by far the better team in the better team and is unlucky not to be in front.

We didn't rely on Modric for all of last season and we chopped and changed strikers and other players.

What is very different this year is that Lennon has stopped running. Why he doesn't go outside anymore is beyond me. He used to do this on almost every play.

Half a yard slower than WBA in most areas apart from the occasional burst from Bale. Hudd and Palacios looked cumbersome at best. VDV clearly hasn't picked up the speed of the PL yet.
No threat from the forwards.

Apart from that we looked half decent....

Thank heavens for Cudicini!!

Gooner in peace...

The thing is that spurs have now 2 important games to focus on every week. Thus, Redknapp has to rotate his squad to keep everyone fresh and that sometimes affects the overall quality of the team.

Only bale runs with the flaming ball is the main problem, everone else rolls it back and for to each other then eventually hoof it. We dont attack with any pace, got to question playing 2 defensive mids against west brom and wigan in Huddlestone and palacios.

What exactly does keane offer us that meant we didnt need a new striker?

Well we lost 2-0 there last time so a draw which was widely predicted was a fair result and an improvement. It's not a happy hunting ground for us so I'm fairly happy with that BUT we need that first home win to set us off and unless our form dramatically improves we'll mnot get past our Coca Cola cup opponents who are roaring ahead AT THE MOMENT,but it won't last.

While I don't agree with all the gooner posts - I'd have to say that this will prove whether we have the depth in the squad to challenge for top 4 spot while competing in CL.

But seriously - 1 pt from Wigan & WBA (no disrespect) - is shameful !

We are missing Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott & Samir Nasri all who can change a game....not to mention Nicklas Bendtner and Aaron Ramsey yet we still get by. We have a new defensive partnership that need maturing and a good but not great goalie. Our most experince player Cesc who is only 23 year old....

But we get on with it and without breaking the bank....You guys need to do the same. Start bring the youth through like you used to in the 80's and 90's and get the Stadium built.

Otherwise all that will happen is another billionarie will by a Northern or Midlands club and make it even hard for your team to fund the success the fan crave for!

The gooners have every right on the strength of our last performances ın the league, to ridicule us and rub it in.

Without the players we have lost in key areas, (such as Dawson's vicious bulldog tackles and Defoe's dropped shoulders and do or die attitude, now the Modric magic may be missing for a few games), we are going to suffer.

It's up to the team now to stop relying on certain players and make themselves and the loyal fans proud, rather than chilling out and giving our rivals fuel for their already overstacked fires.

The simple and obvious fact is, that we are not a team who as yet can afford to brag about strength in depth; whether anyone chooses to take the binkers off and agree is another matter.

Dawson, Defoe now Moddy we sure out of luck on the injury front all of a sudden.

One would have though however we have the personnel to win such games !. Five games in and not one goal scored by a striker is not exactly a confidence booster. Bar the Young Boys goal, Pav has been woeful this season and in the cut and thrust of the EPL the other 3 when used have not been up to much either.

To date our strike force is very much our achillies heel IMO. On a brighter note VDV slotted in well and will prove a match winner in futre games.

Yes we want the league title again and it may happen fairly soon, but I am not one of those fans who thinks it's the be all and end all. I prefer to see us progressing in every aspect of the club and evenly the billonaries will get feed up with their toys and success will come for us because we are doing it in the right way.

A draw against West Brom isn't too bad a result to be fair.

West Brom have got a very good home record and their home fans are very passionate and reasonably loud.

Many people are forgetting that there are still 34 games left to play in the Premier League for Spurs and I'm not expecting Spurs to make a huge impact until the turn of the year, which is when they started to get a good run of results and helped them finish 4th last season.

There's no point writing ANY TEAM off after the first 4 games.

As a Liverpool fan, naturally I won't be disappointed by your result. But I am not on here to crow. I quite like Spurs. My question is about Lennon... is he actually that good, or is he a player who has had bouts of great form in between much longer periods of being average. Most times I have seen him, for England and Spurs, to me, he looks like a hit and run sort of player, lacking any genuine technical ability, which I would argue Walcott has, but does not use often enough.

And Lennon is better than Walcott as he does well against good teams unlike Walcott who only does well against poor teams

He does? You'll have to remind us of those times.
I never realised Liverpool, Barcelona, Everton, Chelsea, yourselves, Villereal were bad sides. These are all sides he's scored and/or had assists against.

But we could have this argument forever.

-----------------------------------------------------------

That's an awful comment and you know as well as I do that isn't true.

Walcott does lack consistency and occasionally he doesn't always make the right decisions, but he has pace, he can score goals, he can give assists, his technique, positioning and contribution is overall very good and with the form he's currently in, I'd definitely have him over Lennon.

It's a shame some Gooners have gone back to being like their former selves; I was enjoying getting along with them for once, Wenger defending our goalkeeper against Stoke, mutual attacking football, etc. Ah well, nothing like old times.

Only perhaps the stupidest human beings who have ever existed would start making pronouncements after 4 games of a season, yet some of those Arsenal boys never struck me as the brighestest. If my memory serves me correctly Spurs lost the last time they played away to West Brom - the mighty Bednar I believe felling Spurs - so we don't enjoy playing them - though not as much as Arsenal dislike playing Barcelona, or anyone really who's any good - and have got a good point for my money. Put it this way; despite our result last season in the next fixture against Wolves, I would say we probably might win this game. If Arsenal drop points against Sunderland away, also a possibility, the gap will close, to the very strange individuals saying 'WE HAVE DOUBLE YOUR POINTS' etc, I'm delighted school term is starting again to occupy your tiny minds again.

But Harry has been lacking on two fronts: firstly, it is obvious to most that we still lack a truly outstanding centre forward: we have 4 good or very good strikers, but not a Drogba, Anelka, Torres, or Tevez figure (like Arsenal who have two good strikers in Van Persie and Chamakah and no world class strikers - these players will win you the big trophies which is why Arsenal haven't won anything for over half a decade). It should have been Redknapp's priority to recruit a Fabiano ot Huntelaar to cope with the rigours of Champs League football alongside Premier League duties; bear in mind we only secured 4th in the penultimate game of last season and now we have the toughest club competition added to our fixture list. Redknapp didn't prepare for this. VDV is nonetheless a good signing in case anything happens to Modric; he looked decent today.

The second way Harry screwed up was in going around saying things like 'we can win the league this year'. To my mind, or any half-mind, it's clear to see we have not been any where near this level; it takes years. By saying these silly predictions it invited scorn and ridicule if anything less was achieved. It reminds me of so many of those Arsenal fans who predict they will win the league every season and when they never do fall flat on their face being miles off. Leave that kind of farce to Arsenal and their fans - they have specialized in it for so long and never fail to cheer me up. It was a bit idiotic of Redknapp to heap that pressure on the team. We achieved what we did last season becasue all the pressure was on City with their money spent, which meant we could go out and enjoy our football and prove we were better than them. It's what Arsenal fans do every season and end up looking ridiculous. So Redknapp shouldn't have invited that. Leave that kind of idiosy to the rivals.

Lots of new players. We looked like we had a new dimension with Van De Wart in the first half, all of those who predicted we couldn't play with 5 in midfield need to eat their words - what an aquistion he looks.

Lennon is out of form, Gallas isn't fit, Defoe is a big loss. Don't worry too much, still a side growing...need to find our form soon though.

One thing you can be sure of - every team in the world would be interested in signing Bale!!
