Hoping for a great match with Holland and Brazil. Its a shame one has to go out. My money is on Brazil winning. They look so hard to break down.

Thank heavens... I've had to actually work for the last two day's...

Well... two attacking sides who appreciate beautiful football, and both of which have added defensive steel to their creativity for this tournament. On paper Holland vs Brazil should be the glamour tie of the World Cup thus far... and judging by the number of times I've written that since the start of the tournament it just has to be a dire 1-1 draw with Holland going through on penalties.

Before the tournament I went for a Uruguay v Holland, Spain v Argentina semi final line up, so I have to stick with that.
Not been impressed by Holland, though, and can't see them beating Brazil in 90 minutes today.

Think Germany v Argentina, on form, is the real glamour game of the quarters, just a shame it is between two countries that we English hate.

Score predictions;

Brazil 1 - 1 Holland - Holland penalties
Uruguay 2 - 0 Ghana
Argentina 3 - 2 Germany aet
Spain 1 - 0 Paraguay

Looking at both Brazil and the Netherlands you would expect a great attacking spectacle.The same expectations we had for Portugal v Brazil from the group stages and we all know how that game turned out!

I quite fancy the Dutch for this.They've been effective so far but by their high standards a little dull.This just might be the game where they explode into attack mode.

for some reason they keep putting the dutch games on in the afternoon so it's the first time I'll get get a chance of seeing them Live.mind of the match 36 years ago in germany so if the dutch get their own back will it matter

I really wish that Nederland and Germany play a classic rematch of the 74 final. Hence, hoping that Germany and Nederland beat their South American counterparts.

Much to Africa's dismay, Uruguay should really progress this evening. The attacking combination of Forlan and Suarez looks as potent as anything we've seen in this World Cup, and you can be certain the South American's wouldn't be underestimated by the winner of the day's more glamorous tie...

Off to the pub in 40 minutes to get a seat for the big game. It is of course enormous here in Eindhoven.

Most of my mates expect to lose but think a lot depends on the Dutch team that starts. Hopefully not the same as the last games or it will all be over.

Remember its not just a place in the Semi Final up for grabs for Brazil and Holland today but for the right to be title holder of the Unofficial World Championships http://www.ufwc.co.uk/
The Dutch are current holders and have been for the last 23 games overtaking Argentina to 3rd place in the all time UFWC.
Its the first time since 1998 that the UFWC and the World Cup was competed for simultaneously when France become official and unofficial World Champions - adds to the pressure?

What a looser Capello is, most of the Manager who lost in this world cup is either resigning or terminating their contract. England's defeat is most humiliating one and still there is no sign of leaving from Capello. What he thinks about himself??

The return to fitness of Arjen Robben should be the key factor for Holland. He's looked lively since he's been back in the side and always poses a threat when he cuts inside... if Van Persie can find some form and Sneijder keeps popping up in the middle then the Dutch should pose problems for Brazil.
