Hopp Schwiiz!

Derdiyok and Behrami to score against Chile today and Switzerland topping group H with 6 points after 2 games!

Our defense is as tight as Swiss banking secrecy, the low temperatures shouldn't be of concern to us, and after all, we're the greatest little country in the world! :)

Come on Switzerland!

History repeats itself it's the saltillo affair all over again although this time it's happening to the French and, to lesser a extend, the English national team instead of the Portuguese one.

Del Bosque ruled Iniesta out of the starting team yesterday. He said he'd be fit enough to play if it was a crucial game (hello - isn't it?), but that he won't risk him today.

He only looks likely to play some minutes if Spain are desperate.

I'm still bemused by this....
-----------------------
A survey of over 50 global football experts, from more than 20 nations, has been conducted by the BBC Sport website to produce a predicted World Cup top four.
-------------------------

England were predicted to finish 4th. Who were the global experts?

Why is everyone complaining about Kaka being sent off. Yes, the Ivorian reacted stupidly by grabbing his face, but Kaka definitely swung an elbow at him (hit him in the chest, not the face). And if the ref thought Kaka had hit him, it should have been a straight red, not a second yellow.
Kaka and some of his team mates behaved pretty poorly in the second half - never seem Brazilians do that before.
And as for the cheating for the second goal (a push and TWO handballs) - if that had been any other nation we would all be up in arms (no pun intended) about it and demanding the player be disciplined.

--------

Paul Ince, Ian Wright, Matt Le Tissier and Paul Merson were amongst them.

Probably.

am I the only one who prefer the Premier league to this World Cup. I am happy with all the player who decided to stay behind.

And what was the referee asking Fabiano after the second goal?

On the Kaka incident, there is just one angle that suggest that although Kaka did very little, it is possible that Keito's head did fall forward and catch Kaka's shoulder.

Neither are innocent but I'm tempted to think that the whole thing isn't quite how it is being dressed up.
