Manchester United should've been on 67 points at the end of today. I hold Rafa Benitez liable that they could escape. Just like that.

bluedefence: Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately Arsenal have more of an affinity with the Premier League over the years and are in better form at the moment so can't really see where you're coming from. Unless you're bitter. Which you probably are.
-------------------------

Not really, given a choice out of the gang of three at the top I would be happy for anyone but Utd, including Magoo's Midgets.

I just dont see it but apart from when you get beat by City good luck.

Law 12 Fouls & Misconduct
Holding an opponent includes the act of preventing him from moving past or
around using the hands, the arms or the body.
Referees are reminded to make an early intervention and to deal fi rmly with
holding offences especially inside the penalty area at corner kicks and free
kicks.
To deal with these situations:
the referee must warn any player holding an opponent before the ball is in
play
caution the player if the holding continues before the ball is in play
award a direct free kick or penalty kick and caution the player if it happens
once the ball is in play
If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues
holding him inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick.

Why can't the rules be simple?
If a player does anything illegal to stop another player with the ball inside the area, then a penalty should be given.

If outside the area then a freekick should be given. SIMPLE. The FA use all these fancy sentences that everyone has to read 3 times to understand them. Complete RUBBISH and yet another reason to complain about them.

because if the foul is committed outside the penalty area, and the attacker is able to carry on moving goal-bound, the advantage rule can apply, yet the defender may continue his foul and end it in the penalty area, its only fair a penalty is given

To all those complaining about how United get all of the decisions, particularly the penalty, please cast your mind back to a near identical situation earlier in the season when Citeh were granted a penalty against United despite there being NO contact in the area at all between Rafael and Bellamy.

I seem to remember us United fans being told to shut up and just accept it at the time. Allow me to return the sentiment.

Do you think that Torres should be punished by the FA for deliberately damaging the penalty spot?
Or could the Old Trafford groundsmen sue him for damaging their pitch? i mean its hard enough to keep the pitch at Old Trafford in good condition but when people like Torres are acting like babies it makes it even harder.
Your thoughts?

Messi's just scored a goal which is up there with Maradona's against England in '86 (not the Hand of God one).

Listen I will say this only once, Arsenal will finish 3rd like the always do, just because you string together fifty passes before having a shot means nothing. Utd will win the league and Chelsea will finish 2nd.
==============================

Arsenal always finish 3rd - how many titles have Chelsea won compared to Arsenal. Oh, only twice in recent history and both when managed by Jose. Unfortunately he was shown the door and Chelsea have gone backwards since.

Pity the Russki didn't have the foresight of clubs like ManU and Arsenal. He should have tied up Jose on a long term contract and allowed him to build a dynasty at Chelsea, like those other clubs have.

Instead, too short-term in outlook - get shot of the manager, then the next and the next and eventually hope to find one that can win the title. But, if he has a poor run, he'll be booted and the process will begin again.

Chelsea's recent success is transient and will not last long term.

Was justice not served later on when the ball apeared to bobble when it looked like he had a golden opportunity to score - it would certainly have been proper justice if it had bobbled on the bit of pitch he had damaged.
